I bought a cheap Peugeot 206 around 6 years ago. 85k miles later the only major issue has been the clutch which I replaced. The electrics are pretty terrible as well, but mechanically it’s been a very solid car. To my shame I haven’t serviced it once in that entire time as well, surprised it’s still going tbh but shows not all French cars are terrible!

She averages 60 mpg and loves it, now approaching 130.000 miles, just passed MOT with advisories on pitting on rear discs.

I’ve bought the (2012) hatchback version 1.4 95hp in 2018 and never had any problems with it till 3 months ago when the power steering got faulty and stopped working. it’s a pain in the a$$ finding the electric motor part that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Despite that, the car is phenomenal in therms of cost ownership, reliability and practicality.

I fitted some of those to a 1979 RS 2000 in an attempt to stop the local low life's nicking it. They were quite new then and would have confused some of the neanderthals. i just did the injectors on my 2013 pug 308 sw 1.6 e-hdi... £900 for 4 new injectors and my cousin fitted and coded them. losing money like crazy on my pug and i will never get it back but it gets me from A to B and hopefully in a few years i can upgrade to something better

In 2008 this Peugeot would have been quite a nice car. Not the best quality, but still a cheaper way to eat some bugs at speed and, with the roof down, annoy pedestrians at crossroads with high volume Taylor Swift music :) I also have a 2008 one as the second family car, but not the CC version. I also don't annoy anyone at crossroads as my speakers just blown off some weeks ago :)) Cheers, Matt!

Good video. No seriously, it was textbook. Always ideal to create a through draught when you’ve got mould in a car.

Yeah! I Just helped my parents sell one of these for 3.3k. it was a relatively uneventful car.

I couldn't help but LOL when the coil springs started to "boing", it reminded me of a car that Matt bought maybe around a year ago; the springs went boing, boing the whole time 😂

Look on the bright side Matt. It was Mould that led to the discovery of penicillin so you probably have a lifetime immunity to all kinds of exotic lurgies.
