Are they as bad as Insa Turbos? I fitted a couple of their winter tyres to the front of my Octavia estate and they nearly threw me in the ditch at the first sign of damp on the roads. Avoid at all costs.

I bought a cheap Peugeot 206 around 6 years ago. 85k miles later the only major issue has been the clutch which I replaced. The electrics are pretty terrible as well, but mechanically it’s been a very solid car. To my shame I haven’t serviced it once in that entire time as well, surprised it’s still going tbh but shows not all French cars are terrible!

I wouldn't touch a Peugeot (pronounced as Puresh*t) with a barge pole. I know someone who had a 407 and the electrics were awful and the dashboard was more lit up with warning lights than the Starship Enterprise's command room.

Bought one for our daughter two years ago, 59 plate diesel, 96 K FSH, actually it's given no bother apart from front spring broke, service it regularly, she drives it from Rutland to London and back weekly, correct it's the GT like hers with the leather snd and onboard computer. She averages 60 mpg and loves it, now approaching 130.000 miles, just passed MOT with advisories on pitting on rear discs.

In Australia mold under the visor would be the least of your problems....times I've put the visor down and been greeted by a huge meaty spider. Trick is to put the visor back up slowly and carefully before elmer the Huntsman flies in your lap and you drive into a lake....

I bought a cheap Peugeot 207CC Sport in 2018, 11,500 miles on the clock. 35,000 miles of trouble free motoring later including driving to the south of Spain and touring around France, as well as trips around the UK, it has proved to be a great buy.

I’ve bought the (2012) hatchback version 1.4 95hp in 2018 and never had any problems with it till 3 months ago when the power steering got faulty and stopped working. it’s a pain in the a$$ finding the electric motor part that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Despite that, the car is phenomenal in therms of cost ownership, reliability and practicality.

Hi Matt Brings back memories I had a 2012 diesel GT in white with leather . It was 5 years old utterly useless, the roof stopped working 2 hours after purchase, numerous DPF problems, electrics useless, I seemed to spend more on light bulbs than fuel . 😂

My mate had one of these from new. The ultimate hairdressers car. It was awful to drive, leaked was slow and had horrendous mpg. Oh and the roof electrics were unreliable. Apart from that it was brilliant

I purchased mine for £810. 3 yrs on its still giving me many trouble-free miles. Roof works fine, as does everything else. Great fun in the summer and for very little money. People are to hung up on badge snobbery.

In November 2018 I moved to Spain. A local dodgy bloke sold me a 52 plate 206cc for 800 euros. It had done 118000 miles, it has now done 125000 miles. It has been a great local run around. It has developed an issue with the cooling system, so maybe it's day's are over.

Was surprised the roof still worked. I knew a guy who bought one of these brand new, his roof never opened and closed properly, even the Peugeot dealer didn't have a clue how to fix it. He rejected the car and got a hatchback version instead.

I guessed the 207 would be repairable just not for a financially viable amount, which I think was a good guess aside from needing a full exhaust. Definitely do a video on the Vel Satis, genuinely can't remember the last time I saw one, properly rare cars in all its quirky French-ness.

If im a comfortable distance from the pedals I can’t reach the gear lever but if im close to the gear lever im practically knees up squatting. were you going to say the same or was it just how notchy it all is? Another nice video Matt. Just out of interest, what did the rotary key you had with the ignition key supposed to fit. I fitted some of those to a 1979 RS 2000 in an attempt to stop the local low life's nicking it. They were quite new then and would have confused some of the neanderthals. I really expected Alexander Fleming to turn up and push you out the way to take samples from the headlining! Amazing that the convertible roof all still worked.

i just did the injectors on my 2013 pug 308 sw 1.6 e-hdi... £900 for 4 new injectors and my cousin fitted and coded them. losing money like crazy on my pug and i will never get it back but it gets me from A to B and hopefully in a few years i can upgrade to something better

In 2008 this Peugeot would have been quite a nice car. Not the best quality, but still a cheaper way to eat some bugs at speed and, with the roof down, annoy pedestrians at crossroads with high volume Taylor Swift music :) I also have a 2008 one as the second family car, but not the CC version. I also don't annoy anyone at crossroads as my speakers just blown off some weeks ago :)) Cheers, Matt!
