This reminds me rhat all the cities ive been to in mexico has holes randomly. Like missing man hole covers and rhings like that. Glad you survived that fall.

I've seen the same in other countries too. It was just a bad combination of events and being tired and hungry. Was lucky to land where I did. Despite it being bad, it could have been far worse just slightly higher or lower. ✌️

'Like ground hamburger' 😅 sounds grim. Did anyone help you up? Haha love that your mum insisted on seeing photos of the knee 😂 hopefully that's the last of the bad luck 🤞

It was pretty gnarly for a week or so. Cops came over and looked at me like I'd been shot, but otherwise no, I got up and hobbled away on my own. They probably thought I was a drunk gringo. Lol

Sorry to hear what happened to you, I hope you’re ok by now, but yeah things happen when traveling but hey that’s part of the memories we’re gonna tell in some years.
@wanderbeardАй бұрын
Yeah, all good by now, but it was a pretty miserable few days. Definitely a memory (and probably a small scar) to remember. Who needs tattoos, when you can collect scars instead? 😂✌️

@ I know right? In one of my first travels when I was like 8 yo, we went to Montebello lake in Chiapas and I ran directly to the water, didn’t notice the mud in the shore so I started sinking 😅 my father took me out when I was already half inside the mud, I was so scared!! But that only encouraged me to keep traveling ☺️
@wanderbeardАй бұрын
Agreed, all this does is reinforce my desire to keep going. Old me, the one who sat in front of a desk every day, would have given up long ago, and just say "Oh well, I tried".

Merida’s Cathedral is the first cathedral built in America continental (first one in all continent is in Dominican Republic), too bad it was closed.

I would have had plenty of time to check it out, if it wasn't for my knee. It's ok though, not every stop ends up being magical and amazing :) Sometimes, you end up staring at the ceiling for a week hahaha

I'm sorry about your accident. Infrastructure here is honestly pretty terrible. It doesn't matter what part of the country you are in, there are gonna be things like the one you stepped in. I messed up my knee once by stepping into a hole in the sidewalk, forcing me to land on my left knee with all of my weight.
@wanderbeardАй бұрын
I'm usually pretty aware, and careful, but the combination of a dark street, me being tired and hungry, and a long day of traveling, just a bad combination. I've been pretty fortunate otherwise and thankfully, am pretty much fully recovered now. Hope your knee recovered ok as well! ✌️

Giving hugs, man, glad nothing was infected (I pretty much skipped to that part haha). Not sure where you're roaming on this day of 12/18 but I'm sure it's interesting to be there in this midst of Canadian political chaos!

Yeah, I am fully aware of how lucky I am, could have been so much worse. The chaos everywhere seems to be getting worse, trying to just enjoy my time and places. ✌️

Subject: Possible Imense Viracocha. Hello. Please forgive my bad english. I'm a Brazilian man and can't remember my last english class. Would you have a look and tell me what you think please? Imense object. Here in Brazil called Torre de Pedra(i would translate to Stone Tower). This youtube video is not mine. The title of the vídeo is: SO com DRONE pra DESCOBRIR isso (only with drone to find that). Two time references: 1- at 5min mark Get closer and goes around. 2- at 10min 10s. Goes up. Red arrow to the face!(?) To me looks like a (extraordinary/imense) Viracocha. Thank you.

In Spanish language, if you see an accent over a letter it usually means that is the letter that has the emphasis in pronunciation. For example: Cádiz, pronounced CAH-deez México, MAY-hee-ko León, Lay-ON Bogotá, Bo-go-TA Mérida, MAY-ree-da, etc
