I have alopecia I’m 15 and was diagnosed with it when I was only a couple months old. I’ve only ever known myself being bald, I never had hair so I never really missed it. But everyone who has alopecia has a different story. And I think this video is great because people assume people with alopecia have cancer. So now we can spread the word!!! BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I had alopecia areata when I was in 5-7 grade. When I was in 5th grade, I remember someone in my class saying “why do you have a bald spot?” I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with alopecia. My hair started to almost all fall out, and the doctors recommended shots into my head. I also lost my eyebrows. A good hairstyle covered the spots. And thank fully got to use shampoo and this special serum. Thankfully, mine grew back almost 2 years later. I cut it last year, because it started to grow back curlier than my hair before. Anyways, that’s my story. She looks SO GOOD and is beautiful. Not surprised she’s a model. She’s so pretty

3644Ashley There is no harm in someone being upset about losing their hair. I think it's wonderful that doctors are able to offer a treatment, even if it may not work for everyone. Unless you have lost all of your hair due to a disease, you couldn't possibly understand how that person truly feels. It's easy to say that you should just be happy and embrace yourself, but realistically that's just not how it works. If you have grown up with hair all of your life, and then suddenly you are FORCED to be completely bald from head to toe, that's not an easy thing to adjust to. I'd say the large majority of people, especially women, wouldn't want to develop Alopecia and lose all of their hair if they had a choice. If you are writing your comment while still having all of the hair on your body, then you can't disagree with someone who has Alopecia being offered treatment to regrow their hair. There's nothing wrong with someone liking their hair or wanting it back. Obviously everyone should strive to love themselves, but that means something different to every person. If you are not affected by the disease, it's NOT okay to say that sufferers of Alopecia should be denied potential treatment because YOU think they should just be told to love themselves. Even if you did have the disease, you still shouldn't be dictating someone else's treatment options. And just to make it clear, I'm not writing this comment to hate on you, but rather to help you to understand that you should respect someone's choice to seek treatment for their life altering disease, rather than claim they don't love themselves enough and claim that they shouldn't even be offered the choice of treatment, because you have absolutely NO idea what it feels like to be in their shoes. We must be supportive of the personal health choices someone makes regarding how their disease affects them, and if they want to accept treatment, we need to respect that and be understanding of how they feel, even if you don't fully agree. 💗 God bless!

Danny Arnold yeah I have cerebral palsy.luckily,it wasn’t too serious.from 2-8 I did physical therapy,and wore braces on my legs but I could walk and run just slower than others, and it was hard to climb too,but luckily I had a surgery to improve my legs and walking 🚶🏻‍♀️, so now I can be faster and the good news is I don’t have to wear leg braces or do therapy anymore!but it was very hard in first grade cause I got bullied for wearing the braces, but after a month or so I didn’t pay Very much attention to those bullies! (Btw I’m a girl but I’m on my dad’s KZbin account)

I have alopecia and I’m 12 I’ve lost hair, big chunks of my hair . I have to take 2 tables on a weekdays and I haven’t lost chunks of my hair in a while and I might not have to take tablets for the rest of my life but if my blood pressure is too high then I will. Every six months I have to get shots and have lots of appointments. My Grandmother has it as did my great grandmother. X

This is such an awesome video. The reason why is my really good friend got this disease when she was in 1st grade ( we are in 4th almost 5th grade) . My friend was actually on the news because my friend and her mom made bracelets so they can raise money so my friend could go to this camp with other kids that have alopecia as well. I've have alopecia ever since I was 3 years old (I'm 16). I was always super confident and bright until I hit 2nd grade, that's when the bullying started happening to me. I remember vividly, that I was so excited to start 2nd grade but when I walked into the classroom somehow it felt different. Kids gave me a look of disapproval and started to laugh and call me names. When I realized that I was no longer "normal" I started to cover my head up. I've have experiences where kids take my hat off my head and think it's funny not to give it to me. And like she said some days you feel beautiful and other days you feel ugly, but that's part of being human. I haven't been able to own up the the kind of confidence she has just yet, but I do accept what I have and that it makes me the person I am today and I'm grateful for that. Thought I should share my story 🙂.
