I’ve currently got an ankle injury and rely on working out for my depression and general health and wellbeing so I’m very pleased I found ur channel. I've been lucky enough to never have a foot injury until now, but my 5-6 HIIT workouts a week caught up with me and put me in a boot for a month (I'm very fortunate it's nothing serious and I can still do movement)! Hi Caroline! I've been using your chair workouts and I just wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for these. I'm 600lbs (less now more than likely, I've been working out and eating better but haven't been able to weight myself), my highest weight was 670lbs. I tried other chair workouts and while they were a good start, I have so much fun using yours. Your personality and positivity just makes it so enjoyable and I feel so fantastic after the workouts. Since starting exercising I've been feeling better mentally, my panic attacks have dropped significantly, and I no longer have chest pains and trouble breathing just from walking down the hall. I don't know if you'll read this but I just wanted to say thank you for being a factor in saving my life.

Seriously. Thank you so so much. I’m an athlete who fractured my knee in two places. I haven’t been able to walk for almost 11 weeks. I’ve had surgery and I’m in PT but as an active person I’ve been feeling sluggish and awful. Being cleared for PT and at a stage in my healing process, I do modified versions of some of these exercises. But today was the first time I have actually SWEAT from a workout in almost 3 months. I feel amazing. I’m so happy to have this outlet and to get stronger ❤️❤️

I've been fasting for days on and off to lose fat but was going a little too hard on those days, which lead to having to focus more on rehab after the fast. So, as alternative I would do some messing around in the chair for cardio and it clicked. Now I'm here and I have to say thank you. Physical therapy is important to me and it's something I touch on every time before working out, but I didn't like it being the focus of the workout session. Thanks to styles like this I can get after it as soon as I break. Thank you.

I run at least 5 miles every single day, but just injured my knee last week. I’ve been through a knee injury before (meniscus tear) and it is so depressing not being able to run/workout. After this recent injury I started researching what I could do to stay in shape and not get depressed during the time it takes my knee to heal and one article I read mentioned “chair cardio” so I decided to look it up and that’s how it came across this video. I am so glad something like this exists, and reading through the comments it seems to be so many people in the same situation as me - healing from injury and wanting to still be able to workout so they don’t get depressed. This is a godsend, thank you! This will keep me sane for the months I can’t run

Definitely. The problem with many chair workouts is you just dont get the heart rate of a standing one. To get 30 active minutes on my watch I have to do this video at least twice through.

If I had not twisted my ankle....I would've never came across this video. I've told so many of my friends....this is a workout like no other. Since doing chair cardio workouts...my abs are tone and my arms are lean. As someone who was a marathon runner and active for over 30 years...I am soooo GRATEFUL I found you! I injured my knee last year and haven't been able to workout for a year. im so thankful youve created these workouts. i recently lacerated a tendon in my foot. working out is such a vital part of my day and my mental health that i was more bothered by the no workout order than the actual injury itself. with your workouts, im still able to get that dopamine rush and the mental focus i need not to mention that im still making it a part of my day so when im given a clean bill of health i will still have the time slot and mindset to keep my workouts a part of my day!

I found these chair cardio at the beginning of the pandemic when my health club closed. They are awesome for me, who has spinal ,muscular atrophy and find standing very difficult. I used this workout when visiting my son in Long Beach and have put it on my favorite list. Will be 75 this year and happy that I can still move with these.

I am so excited that I came across your workouts for people with lower body injuries! I have really been struggling with keeping on track after hysterectomy, and 4 weeks ago I broke my left ankle. Hi Caroline! Another success story! I had Lapiplasty mid December. I couldn’t even do my normal job which is playing the harp. (Concert Grand harp has seven foot pedals to adjust the pitch of the strings.) I am also an avid mountain biker so I knew I was going to need something to keep me in better performance shape coming out of this. I still have to walk two more weeks in the “magic” boot but I can wear a big Converse sneaker on my left foot to pedal the harp LOL. Thank you for your hurt foot videos, chair cardio and motivation!

This is June 1, 2022 and my physical therapist states I've torn two tears in a rotator cuff. So PT for the summer I suppose. No butterfly, backstroke, or freestyle just an easy breaststroke plus kicking. Lucky for me I know about Caroline's cardio chair workouts to supplement my cardio! I have exactly 8 weeks before I represent UCLA in the California Transplant Games at UCSD pool, San Diego. I can do this thanks to my cardio workouts with Caroline! :)

Thank you so much for posting this video. I am a personal trainer and have been into fitness for over 30 years. I was sidelined 3 weeks ago with a foot fracture and was bed ridden for 4 days. I was getting really frustrated and depressed because. I have only missed 3 workouts in my lifetime of fitness. I am not a sedentary person and my body has a negative reaction when I have not exercised for more than 2 days. So, not being able to workout or even move was really depressing. So, instead of feeling sorry for myself I decided to research chair workouts, but alot of videos I found were exercises that were not challenging enough for me so, I was not getting a proper cardio burn from it. And then I came across this video of yours and it hit the spot for me. And I love your positive energy! I have taken your exercises and made some modifications in order to make it even more challenging for someone like me who has a higher fitness level. I use 5 lbs hand weights in each hand for most of your exercises in this workout. And for each exercise, I keep my feet elevated off the ground (back straight and I don't lean back on the chair at all) so, my abs are fully engaged the entire time. I also only take a 5 second break in the 20 second rest period in between each exercise. And for the push up/dip exercise, I actually do proper tricep dips non-stop for 20 seconds while keeping my abs tucked in (feet off the ground the entire time). And the remaining 10 seconds I do what you do, but don't let my feet touch the ground only bringing them down hovering above the ground with each dip and ab crunch. So, with some of my modifications to your exercises, I have managed to make someone like me who is really fit feel even more challenged. So, thank you so much for posting this. It has saved my sanity and I can keep fit while my foot injury heals. :)

@@deciphertruth3018 - Give it a try. It makes it more challenging. My foot healed up within 8 weeks so, I was able to get back to doing my regular cardio and weight training routine. But, if it were not for these seated cardio exercises, I would have gone nuts not being able to do any cardio while my foot fracture healed.

I recently sprained my ankle, and I am so glad I found you! Your energy/ your positive vibe is amazing! I just completed this workout and I LOVED IT. I love cardio and this was perfect for what I am going through. Thank you thank you!! I will def do more!

Hi Caroline, broke my metatarsal on the 1st and the lack of activities drove me nuts. Then I discovered your hurt leg workouts and I love them! I can work out even with a broken bone, with a cast. Feels so good to not just vegetate away. Thank you for your awesome job! Sending love 💗

Caroline, I broke my foot about three weeks ago. I live in Austin, TX. I was desperate for some kind of workout after being told I couldn’t go to the gym for the next 8-16 weeks. I found your workout videos and they have been super helpful. I just did this one twice through and I was able to get my heart rate > 130 for the whole second round. Favorite exercise is the chair knee tuck. Thank you so much!! (It would be great if the videos were numbered to see which one is which. I’m basically doing at least three of your workouts per week).
