@@henrygreen2096 didn't he live in Europe for a while? I'm Aussie, and I know quite a few people that moved here from the US or UK that have picked up an Aussie accent. I've got a Canadian friend who's lived here for years and he sounds more Aussie than I do. So it's definitely possible to pick up an accent either consciously or subconsciously, but i'm no expert. Hans may very well be putting it on.

Kramnik with his whole campaign against online cheating, becoming the coach of hans niemann, it's just insane. It's the irony of ironies.
@anthonyquote1593
@anthonyquote1593 2 ай бұрын
Bro the whole "online cheating campaign" is ironic. Chess players shouldnt make any campaigns. If the platforms wanted they could EASILY ban all they cheaters. First of all nobody cheats on their main accounts except Hans. So you put all new accounts or accounts created recently in a bag. Then you check the IPs. If the account was created from a USA ip, but plays from other ips so he VPNs then put in another bag of more suspicious accounts. Then check the moves, the accuracy and compare to engine moves. Then check the games. If the person is playing only rapid. Do they play bullet? If they play, how fast they play. Come on bro its SUPER easy for them to think a million more sophisticated methods than i proposed and implement them. They wont implement nothing because they dont really care, and cheaters are after all customers for the platforms.

Customers? Most people who cheat don't have paid memberships. Nobody pays for a diamond sub then risks getting thrown off the site with no refund Also you can't tell who's using a VPN to cheese their IP address. That's the whole point of using a VPN. It's really not at easy to catch cheaters as you think bc plenty of legit top level players take a few seconds a move and play a lot of the top engine lines

I remember during scandal one of the main points doubters had in Has is that he progressed in elo pretty late in his career compared to other GMs. So if he is legit not cheating and his curve is just peaking at a faster rate later than others it might take him higher than Alireza eventually. I used to think he just managed to put his hands on Magnus’s prep before than famous game a cpl years back but he is currently legit super GM level so yeah

I like how Hikaru gets sentimental for a split second at 08:17. You hear a quiver in his voice talking about seeing the fans there in person -- maybe wondering how many more times he'll ever get to experience that -- but then he quickly smothers the emotion away as you'd expect a great chess champion to do. But you can tell that hidden behind his machine-like exterior there is a heart of gold.

Just glancing at Hans, with his watery, shifty eyes searching everywhere but his interlocutor, is enough to inspire a great deal of mistrust. It's really preposterous that chess tournaments do not (or are not allowed) to use jammers against electronic devices like hidden earpieces.

@@Devilnero1991that’s a cliché, actually no one thrives in controversy. It’s just people often have no choice but to either crumble or fight back, and will usually choose to fight back. No one has suffered the humiliation Hans has suffered for fairly beating Magnus Carlson in an over the board game. (He’s a cheater, he used anal beads to cheat, etc.) If you listen in between the incendiary remarks, most of what he speaks about is “how damaging” accusations are and how he has “no friends in the sport.” This is how a person, who has had no choice but to be combative, and who has no choice but to come across as self-assured speaks.
@Devilnero1991
@Devilnero1991 2 ай бұрын
@@Aurongroove Of course some people do ,and others don't. Reality don't care if something is cliche or not. Someone unaffected by emotions because he has no access to them or someone who don't have them will thrive in high pressure situations because everyone will feel it and some don't, they can calmly control the situation while others who have emotions and don't know how to manage them (99%) can't! "No one has suffered.... ...but to come across as self-assured speaks." Ok. P.S If scammers didn't know how to scam people by exploiting their emotions, very well, there wouldn't be scams.

To be fair.... you kinda gotta believe you can win to compete at that level. I don't really like Hans. I'm much happier that magnus is at the top instead of Hans or hikaru. But still in order to be the beat I think you gotta at least entertain the idea that you're that guy. Let the losses propell you till you prove what you "knew" all along

Both Hikaru and Magnus made a very similar comment in their post-match interviews - 'three out of the four players here are playing at a certain level'. I mean, you don't have to put two and two together to figure out who they're talking about. Aren't they basically just saying, he cheats, you can't trust him, why is he even at this competition? Is there *more* on Niemann that they just can't/won't say? Amazing.

@@carlosedwardos the match score was closer, but Carlsen was honest about it after… he wasn’t very motivated and wanted the match to be over, and he would have to be much more focused for Ali Reza.
