What a hike. Man oh man. Yes challenging hike... So challenging that I wasn't able to get to the arch when I tried. Camped in chesler twice but never got to the arch. That arch is massive. Glad you didn't get pounded by the storm.

There are a couple of sketchy areas that slowed us down, but it was so worth it. I definitely want to return to explore Chesler Park. Thanks for watching, Nicole!

Pretty awesome hike you both had. Brought back fun memories from when we hiked it a few years ago. That last section of trail is so much fun, slick rock, cliffy, steep, and ladders too. So fun! It is such a unique and boxy looking arch too. No other like it that I'm aware of. Super cool. Glad you were able to check it out. Have a great day.

Thanks! This hike was my #1 reason for coming out here, not that I really needed reason. I'd definitely put this up there with one of my most memorable hikes, loved the scenery and that arch!

I was kind of awe struck by it, it just dominates the landscape! Very worth a visit if you get the chance.

Wow! All the climbing looked tough, but worth it, especially that last big climb looked almost vertical. Cool how you showed the size comparisons with Statue of Liberty!

Yeah, this turned out to be one of my favorite hikes we've ever done! Since we couldn't get right up to the arch for size comparison, I came up with the idea of comparing it to similar sized objects. So many amazing things to explore.

Do I need a permit for day hike to Druid Arch Trail?
@SlonesWildernessExpeditions14 күн бұрын
For a day hike, no. Only need a permit/reservation if you're backcountry camping.

do you need high clearance to get to the trailhead or all terrain tires?
@SlonesWildernessExpeditions Жыл бұрын
Not really, as long as it hasn't had flash flood level rains! I saw 2 wheel drive cars at the trailhead when I was there.
