Lech, nice video. I appreciate you showing 1) all the specific pieces ahead of time and 2) the difficulty you had fitting the telescope pipe at the end as every job has some kind of challenging part in the full process.

I can’t thank you enough for the excellent information and teaching you’ve provided here. I have the same Morrison stove so you’ve made it so easy for me to use the same components and material to get this sauna built. The entire series is top quality. Thank you so much!

I’m so glad you made this video. I was just quoted a little over $6k for two stove installs for the cabins which are on the same property. Looking everything up has been overwhelming to say the least. This really helps clarify things. Thanks again.

Nice build. Stove is really sweet with that dual feed set up, never seen this before. I use pop rivets in my single wall.

Bottom shingle under, the rest are ALL supposed to be on top of the metal. And caulk under each shingle. When it snows you'll thank me

Isn’t that what he did?
@squirrelydan3Ай бұрын
@erich4710 he put half the shingles over and half under, but there's a couple more rows of shingles that should have gone over the flashing.

I just installed my woodstove. Its a bigger job than at first it appears.
@HowToWithLech2 ай бұрын
Yeah. Can take a little time to do it right. But result is great
@TheGardenerNorth2 ай бұрын
Okay, I'm missing something here! If I'm not mistaken the black stove pipe you've installed here is upside down. Meaning you have the pipe flange, starting at the stove, beginning inserted inside, which means that smoke can escape, flowing upwards and then every other connective joint, can potentially leak smoke. I guess depending on where you are, that might not pass code!
@HowToWithLech2 ай бұрын
It’s correct. Please check the manual for it etc. That’s how it needs to be to avoid buildup etc. Nothing leaks etc.
@HowardSinclair-z6bАй бұрын
Smoke is not the problem. You are making sure the ceasote does not run out at the joint. @@HowToWithLech

Do you have at least 15 feet of chimney length? The chimney draft looks good. Is the stove pipe inside single wall? Is there a recommended minimal clearance of the stove pipe to a non combustible surface?
@HowToWithLech3 ай бұрын
15ft? No. Just has to clear past highest point of roof. Yes single inside. Believe it’s at least 16” clearance needed. Why I did the tile wall
@alexkq2h7703 ай бұрын
Good information to know. From what I’ve read a heat resistant wall needs to be non combustible material that is spaced about 2.6 cm with spacers and a gap on the top and bottom for air flow. This prevents heat from being conducted through the material, in your case the tiles, to the wood and insulation behind it..

Can you please tell me the number of flashing, I need exactly like yours, flat and straight.
