HIKING AT GUNUNG BELUMUT /KLUANG/JOHOR. It not an easy as I thought!

All those challenging hiking at 5 th highest Mountain in Johor was so epic which ended with Lata Tengkorak Waterfall was satisfying.
This video was one of my longest duration. However, it gave full view to entire journey of this wonderful hike to Gunung Belumut.
Our group of 14 took a mini bus heading to Kluang on 7th July 8.30pm from Singapore.
Check in Anika Hotel at Kluang Johor at approx 12.30am on 8th July.
Short to say that we only have approx 3.5hrs to rest or sleeps before we meet at lobby at 6am.
My first half an hour was touring with sour throat and cough. That worried me alots.
I woke up and boil hot water and drank alots.
My hope it will be better in a few hours.
Thanks God, my throat getting better and glad to join my group for the hike.
Reaching the hiking side at 7.30am and start the hiking to Gunung Belumut around 8am.
Total for this hike have 4 CP's
CP1 LATA TENGKORAK (Easy)
CP2 BATU KERANG (Difficult)
CP3 LARA (Easy)
Cp4 KABUS (Difficult)
At the summit with the height 1,010m (3,314ft) from sea level was with the spectacular scene.
Oo our way hiking down, heaving rain. This was a really challenging as we decent.
The ground was wet and muddy, somehow slow down our momentum.
Finally meet up all our group and decide gave a try explore Lata TENGKORAK Waterfall which just 440m.
We under estimate and don't be fool with 440m which required another hiking.
According to local, this beautiful Lata Tengkorak Waterfall, is less children when there due to difficulty terrain.
Going there need permit and Rm $15 for foreigner.
We all ckean up and heading back to hotel for fresh change.
By 6.30pm, heading for our dinner feast recommended by our local trail guide Bro Ah Wei.
The food was superb and never have it in Singapore.

It depend on individual hiker. Some are fast which they might missed out alots interesting seround them. That the different!

Great video of first hand experience. One question, whether trekking pole required or not ? Because looks like no one carried a trekking stick.
