Cheers Mark, This was a real learning curve for me and even though the trip wasn’t entirely successful it was a fantastic way to learn what works, what doesn’t work and what your/my limitations are. Good fun watch Darren loved the boiled lobster look, fancy starting your hike on a blisteringly hot day😂, I obviously have never met you in person but if a herd of cows are scared of you then you must be one scary looking dude. 😂😂😂. Bit worried at one point when you went in the Tarn for a swim that you might have been skinny dipping 😅. What is the filter bottle that you use to gather water from the streams I could do with one of those. Nice work Darren looking forward to the rest of the hike.

Morning Kev, The boiled lobster look only gets worse as the days progress and the cows get worse in episode 3 😂 The water bottle is a B free water filter and I’d highly recommend it. The filter itself has a shorter lifespan than some, but it’s so easy to fill up. Take care bud and stay well 🍺

Never mind the lack of photos, this was a cracking video Darren. I’ll go with some of the other coments and suggest a Tilley hat, my wife had a couple and I mocked them a bit until I bought one. The top end of the Cumbria way is actualy quIte interesting even if it’s not grand or rugged, spent some time on it earlier in the year.

Lol.. I had a my 1st chuckle at 4:39 You do know how to put a smile on people's face. I had my 2nd chuckle at the freezing wet bandana 😂 *smiling at the shetland ponies*, "they are alive ain't they " 10:45 still watching . Yup, Paul & Abbie have both been on my watchlist although I tend to dip in n out depending on what videos they have done....I think your intrepretation of hike or walk is spot on. Wide Brimmed hat on hot days mate... you need a Tilley ! Do you want me to moooooove, pmsl..😂. Meticulous in your choice of pitch, think that shows the preparation you put into anything you do - this with your comedic sometimes situations is a perfect blend for watching a longer style video. Did I enjoy it... of course I did. Not at all bothered there was no photography in the video - thats maybe because I watch other channels apart from purely photography ones. I think I mentioned my mate @morgs4mountains - he has some cracking long walks in his - he is currently doing one of the GR routes, something I reckon would really appeal to your walking adventures. There is a 98 miles trail down this way called the Beacons Way, it is sonmething I would urge you to have a look at as it would be right up your street so to speak. atb Al

A great vlog, as I've said before people subscribe to the vlogger not the photo's. I'd definitely go with a wide brimmed straw hat. I can't imagine carrying all that water and gear these days. I've stayed low level and close to the car the past couple of months until the weather broke two days ago and I was out doing a wee dance on the muir in the rain ..... until the lightning started !

Morning Iain, That’s the problem with a pre planned holiday, you can’t control the weather. Either cold and wet or too hot, but I just had to play the cards I was dealt. Looking back though it was a great adventure and the conditions (no matter how challenging) made it very special and one I’ll always remember. I’ve just edited day 4 and looking back I’m surprised I managed to get as far as I did. Take care mate and enjoy the cool rain 😉
