Nice vid! I was wondering, was the sunrise view point near the KingKong Hill? And how cold was it, it seemed pretty cold!

Hi Bob Ross! Yes, we hiked past the KingKong hill up to a viewpoint above. It was very cold and windy! We both had on fleece and a hardshell and it was still so cold. We also wore fleece gloves. We could have used another layer it was that cold.

Indahnya Indonesia yes! We hiked Mount Ijen and will be posting a video about that later this week! We didn’t get a chance to hike Tumpak Sewu. We will have to do that someday! Thanks for the tip!

@@PursuingMountains i recomended to climb some volcanoes in central java .. ( merbabu , merapi , sindoro , sumbing , slamet and prau ) not a touristy . Beutiful scnery

Unfortunately, there's no sea of fog on Bromo floor which made this scene even more dramatic. Maybe you guys didn't come in the right months.

Yes, just one day! You wake up in the wee hours of the morning to get to the view point at sunrise :)

Did yall have to pay for a guide? How does it work? Im more of the DIY adventuer.. not trying to pay for a guide or anything like that if its safe to do without?

We are diy adventurers too! We did not use a guide and it feels very safe. Just make sure to download gps tracks for the sunrise hike as you start in the dark.
