Hiking through the canyons seems like such a great experience! My mom did the same thing two years ago. I’d love to as well, but I’ve been advised against it due to a disability from a bike accident. I can enjoy the sights vicariously through you. 😊 Stay safe!

It was amazing! I love the Grand Canyon. This trail is a tough one, it takes a lot of skill and attention. Thanks for watching!

So I didn’t have to hike in the heat. Hiking down in it was really tough and i knew that hiking out would be way more difficult! I was so glad that I hiked out this early. It was MUCH cooler!

@@trailandtravel can I ask how long it took you to get down versus to get out?
@trailandtravel

yes, It was probably about 3-3.5 hours down and maybe 4-4.5 hours out.

Yes of course I did! Sun screen and sun shirt! I kept my eye out for creatures and honestly didn’t see too many of them out there.

@@trailandtravel , thank you for replying, up here in Canada the same coloured water in Jasper or Banff is freezing cold right off the glaciers

yes! the blue water from the glaciers is amazing, I'm goin to Glacier NP this month and I am so looking forward to the blue water there! This water is blue from the calcium carbonate in the water.

this is extremely dangerous...no one should hike anything alone, CERTAINLY NOT THE GRAND CANYON... i hope u had a camera man or crew...but in that case its very bad to say u hiked alone cuz this is promoting ur viewers to hike the grand canyon alone...
@trailandtravel

I’m not promoting anyone to hike anything alone. I made this video to show how difficult this trail is but also how amazing it could be. I don’t have people in my life that enjoy hiking like I do, but I’m not going to let that stop me from these amazing experiences. I don’t think it’s “bad” to say I hiked alone, it’s honest. And there are many many people who hike alone. Thank you for your concern and thank you for watching!

I came in to say this as well. Nobody should be hiking this alone!! Even in pairs, you really, really need to have a Garmin inReach device or similar with you for satellite emergency communications.

I hike alone! I started like 3 months ago when the weather changed and I could do that on my own. I will never forget my first solo hike when I ended up below Sopris Mountain in Carbondale Colorado, camping there in the tent. And the Thunder and the lightning was the most craziest experience I have ever had in my whole entire life...😊... it took me 5 hours to get there, and people suggested that I didn't do it on my own while I hiked up there and then I camped up there and Thunder and the lightning storm . And I'm so done with these people who don't investigate was there even f****** talking about

I completely understand where you're coming from. I don't have someone close to me who is interested in doing these types of hikes. And I would feel like it's much more dangerous to do this with a stranger just for the sake of hiking in pairs. Also I am not going to rob myself of these experiences because no one will go with me. Yes I agree I have been wanting to get a Garmin for a while and most likely will soon. thank you for your concern, It truly shows that you care for my wellbeing and for that im grateful! Thank you.
