This might be my favourite video of yours. It brought a genuine tear to my eye when Helen was talking about her parents and the bird flew by at the top. It made me think it was her dad flying past checking in how she is. Much love guys. ❤

Lovely that just as you were saying Helen's parents are with her that a butterfly seemed to be hovering next to her. This appeared very spiritually significant in a beautiful way.

Bless you Helen, Your Mom and Dad were with you every step of that hike. They showed you they were there when the bird flew over you. They are with you in your heart every day, they are the people who made you who you are and they would be so proud seeing that you carry on their hiking legacy. At 35:02 of this vlog, the rock formation in the centre of the screen looks like a monkey clinging to the rock. It is incredible scenery

We've absolutely loved watching your Texas videos, you never hear much about anyone visiting there for a holiday ! We did almost the same route in 2001 on a BMW 1200cc motorbike, starting in Dallas then direct on the bike to Fredericksburg where we stayed at the Hilltop Cafe. Next we went into the Hill Country, then on to Marathon where we stayed in the Gage Hotel.........it was affordable back then, much better exchange rates and prices were much lower. From there Big Bend National Park down to Teralingua then Presido on the Mexican Border. Amazing views and wild vistas everywhere. We ended up in Fort Davis and after that we did the big ride back to San Antonio, then Austin where we had a few days enjoying the music scene. Everywhere we went, even in the real wilderness places, the people we met were welcoming, very friendly and incredibly helpful............Southern hospitality is definitely a real thing. You've certainly stirred our memories and quite possibly inspired us to do it all again................not on a bike tho ! Brilliant tho that trip was, the old limbs are no longer up to those huge mileages on 2 wheels 🤣. Steve & Andrea

I can’t believe how far you’ve come since that day you moved out of your house and into the van….you are accomplishing so much in one way or another!! So well done you ☺️ Take care both of you and H you made me weep when you were thinking about your mum and dad, it doesn’t matter how old you are you can still feel like an orphan when they leave( but they never do really, always in your heart) Thank you x

What a fantastic vlog your hike made! As a disabled pensioner, you've made me feel like I've been to Texas, and I'm so happy you can do this, for me and and I'm sure lots more people! I was nervous about the bears too James! When I visited my son, in Seattle, a few years back, they left me sitting by the creek whilst the rest of them walked around the land they owned! My son came running back as they discovered bear scat not far from where I was sitting!😅 Try China next, that's where Jay and Karolina are, it looks great!😊 xx

When I lived in northern New Jersey the bears came thru the backyards on their way to the lake, never bothered anyone, except sometimes dogs if they chased them.
