I use to live in New Tazewell, TN, worked in Harrogate, and took the tunnel into Middlesboro to go shopping. Loved Cumberland Gap. Beautiful area. Used to be a great restaurant called Webbs in the heart of Cumberland Gap, but I believe it’s closed now.

I've been there so many times in my life, but I never get tired of it. I took friends up there from the Midwest who had never been around mountains. One of them stood there just looking in both sides of the tunnel with her mouth open. If you ride a motorcycle, getting to the top, riding the curves, and going back down is a big part of the fun.

Been there in the 60's when the old gap road was still there. There was a souvenir shop right at the gap where you could buy entrance into Cudjos cave Now called gap. Cave. My mother used to have big party's in the ball room of the cave way back when. You need to visit the gap cave if you can still gain entrance.

Hi Jon, a very cool location, that cannon was awesome to see as they normally only use replica's in places like that. The overlook was so stunning, when you looked down on those houses it looked just like one of those models that you see. Thank you for sharing and well done you for getting to the overlook, fantastic. Take care both of you, much love. xx💖🌹

Beautiful, the colors in the fall are great. Drive up the road to Pinevillle and hike to chain rock, as a kid I believed that chain really held the rock. I live up the road in London.

Pinnacle Overlook was probably named for the rock pinnacle? I love visiting KY and nature centers, miss that so much. Hopefully will be back by year's end! Thank you for sharing, Jon!
