To be fair, I think I remember something about one of those tattoo shows where there was a realistic portrait done and it was super heavily saturated and the person was voted off and their point was that it will be dark at first but over time as tattoos fade the tattoo would be perfect and sure enough months later they posted a picture of the very tattoo they were voted off for and it look 1000% better than the ones who were kept on the show on the day they were done. I think that heavy saturation was to protect the tattoo over time 💁🏼‍♀️ I have no idea but thought I’d offer it up for this poor guy lol
