The Greatest studio ever has been gifted with the greatest bands ever from The Beatles through to children's musicals, the greatest producers George Martin through to the greatest classical worlds of Hillary Hann's flawless perfection. We are so lucky to have places like this that have brought about all the finest music to grace our Island. Hillary is so gracious and natural with out any pretenses or hairs and grace never to look down on the beautiful arts of music. Leaving behind huge amounts of inspiration for the next generations of beautiful people to enjoy, explore and seek all this is good within us. No matter what the world throws at us there is always the language of music that is in everyone of us which makes us human more than anything else.

What Hilary said about playing Bach to children hit the spot. At five years of age, lost in a new school and from a family that was a mess and in between music lessons heard a couple of rooms away from the classroom, someone played something I later recognised as something from Bach. I was astonished at the time. It was a while before I heard Bach again .... as a conscript soldier during Vietnam. I didn't expect to have anyone else listen but our small section played Bach and my fellow conscripts taught me that there was more to Bob Dylan than I ever imagined. I learned that there were many different tables at the feast that was music. Great days and war.

3:30 Sorry Hillary you are wrong. Yes, slow music by Bach does calm kids down only when YOU play it 😂😂 Trust me, I tried myself playing the g minor adagio and the kids started screaming even more and one of the kids actually started "conducting" with a utility knife (!) so my playing had to be stopped lol

I I started playing the violin at the age of 2 and I have to agree with Hilary. I still remember the times the older kids were rehersing and each time they played something slow you could feel the mood changing. Suddenly everyone was calm. I personally still experience this change. I always start to get lost in my own thoughts...

Note for note, J.S. Bach is the greatest composer that ever lived. I claim that as someone who has played any and every genre of music imaginable as an eclectic radio show host in a major market for 25 years. Anyone who would claim that he is not at least a great composer needs to have their head examined.

Everyone was wearing casual wear too (except the conductor). And she was barefooted because the floor had no carpet (because it could absorb some of the sound) and her footsteps could be heard while playing in the recording.

They were recording a CD, there was no audience there, so only the talent mattered, not the attire. (I know because I’ve seen the longer video that particular clip was taken from).
