There was some stone peaking up above the deck that the drill neck was hitting, that's why you rig exploded.

Man, those new reinforced conveyor tubes are a really neat addition to SE, both in Aesthetics and functionality. Drill arm works wonders for clearing space huh? Not much else to comment on this go around, but I guess suggesting you add a few cargo containers for storage space as you drill out the ridge might be a good idea. I know, obvious suggestion is obvious, but it still bears saying.

The biggest problem you have is building everything in front of the drill setup you are trying to use. You wouldn't have to try to finesse everything if you would have built the drill setup (arm) in the front, then built the supporting stuff behind it.
