I’ve got the original kit bag. I love it. Holds my binos, rangefinder, knife, fire kit, pistol and can of Copenhagen. Perfect for elk hunting or praire dog hunting I ditch the pistol and put two extra AR mags in the pistol pouch.

Original full size is the best that I have used. I also have a recon in manatee and the fabric is too stiff for my taste.

I've only played with the recon in their store but never owned it so I can't speak as much to that. The SAR medium was a little stiff but has broken in perfectly!

I have mine coming in a few days. Is it as durable and well designed as people claim? I’ve never bought anything from them before, but the original kit bag seems to get a ton of praise, so I but the bullet and just ordered one

What size is your pistol? I've got an m18 wondering if it'll fit nicely. Also you don't bother with a holster? Do you have a manual safety?

It's just a Glock 43x with an optic. I've never bothered too much with the trigger holster. I've been carrying guns both professionally and at home for well over a decade and in my experience without something present to pull the trigger you'll have no issues.
