Have been waiting going on 3years for the bord of Veterans Affairs to decide my case on my wife care giver support came why it take so long?

I had a VHA claim for a back brace clothing allowance in 2019 that was granted after only 17 months. My Aug 2021 back brace clothing allowance claim has been pending for three years and four months. I assume the BVA has a lot more claims to adjudicate.
