Hilliard clutch versus standard clutch

I started with that clutch, then I moved to the Inferno flame I figured the needle bearings were better but it doesn’t matter they’re both the same brother just keep it lubed

They are awesome it pull me up to 67 mph with a modded 196cc hisun and I'm 300lb+

I put a Hilliard on hot rod 212 & it broke the integral key off first ride so I cut a key way in it & it’s been great clutch ever since it’s lasted a lot longer than I thought it would.

I've ran the standard ones for years, separate moter bikes and Go-Karts lol, I especially rember this one time I was going up my driveway and by the time I was at the top my clutch was glowing red hot, after that even idling it would engage and run off on me, I actualy have a video of it glowing red

Making sure to coat with oil on the bearing parts, the Hillard should hold up well

my Hilliard extreme duty is garbage. broke the key off, replaced it. along with higher engagement spring. 3000 rpm black springs. this thing chugs so hard tho. it engages fine then slips for bit while accelerating then smooths out again. I hate it

Now that the hilliard clutch is thicker, how does it work out for your chain still lining up straight to the rear sprocket

I’m running a Cheetah on my drag bike and so far it’s holding power and grabs hard. I just hate the basket design because it like to eat the chain when it throws it.

What size chain? I just got a Cheetah but I picked up a #41 gear right away from Studz. Also got a set of black springs for the Hillard. After watching the max torque videos on RBG’s channel, I’d like to split some of the shoes in a max torque and use the black spring too.

@@peterchristlieb I’m running 35 chain. 14 tooth front and 75 rear. Don’t waste your time cutting the shoes in the max torque. I’ve cut a handful of them and it really only works for cruiser applications. Dosnt make a huge difference
