@Walt Kuznicke 🤣 you consider VDH "inept"🤣. And you have a big bag full of silly insults. Well done. Yeah, I don't think anyone serious, certainly not VDH, thinks that the modern GOP holds a candle to the party of Lincoln. But, hey, at least they weren't able to do to Trump what the DNC _did_ do to Bernie.

I think we all need to find out if we can stop or we will have to look at the bill gates study he did on Coronavirus in 2019 saying that we would not only yank our economy but the whole worlds. We need to actually get to work with no money we must simply die a slow crazy death. I mean we must be able to work and make work somehow those masks and scrubs gloves we cld take the money and set up a company. Anything the economy is now more of a source of panic than the virus.

I like Hanson because he doesn't shove an agenda down your throat. He simply presents his arguments and lets you decide what to take away from it. A staunch liberal may very well reject most of what he says, but if you're willing to listen with an open mind you can learn something worthwhile. Refreshing to say the least.

@F. Friedrich Kling Ummm... did you actually read that study? I ask because number one in the list of dependency, based on that methodology (which gives triple weight to tax-to-return ratio) is New Mexico; a dark blue state. Last on the list is fire truck red Kansas. So, there are two statements you made that are untruths. Also, the "experts" are predominantly assistant or associate professors. All are academics, with zero representation from any type of enterprise. None are nationally recognized experts. A review of their answers to the *two* questions each answered individually reveals words, like "equity," which are not words typically used by conservatives, so the "study" appears to be representative of only one end of the political spectrum. It is also unclear if those "experts" actually compiled or analyzed any information or if they simply added their subjective opinions on those two questions. Having read the report you quoted, I'm not at all convinced that the report is relevant. One could wonder if perhaps what you are trying to say is that conservative thought is hypocritical... and therefore corrupt... at its core. Or perhaps damning the people in flyover country because they are, proven by your study, resource-sucking hypocrites. The phrase, "Lies, damned lies and statistics," has a basis in real life. Triple weighting any factor indicates a need to change the weight of that factor in order to produce a conclusion not supported without multiplying the effect of one factor over another. Additionally, multiple unequivocal statements made by you, which are immediately and obviously demonstrably false, make your post fit the phrase very well. Overall, you have cited an article, not really a study, with comments added by obscure and not highly qualified "experts." One could presume the reason is confirmation bias. Have a nice day.

Exactly right and it's in kind of unfathomable to think that this was 4 years or so ago and they didn't have any young faces in the Democrat party until around 2019 and here comes the squad. They are the worst of the worst and part of what Obama bred when he was president and they were radical and half of them were foreigners. "People are mad because somebody did something to somebody" -Ilhan Omar. Oh oh people were not letting her get back with that this year. She doesn't know what 9/11 felt like to those of us who were probably high school age and older and I was 33 when that occurred. I was on my way to work when the first plane hit and the second plane hit about 10 minutes after I walked in the door. I got to work around 9:00 and lucky for me I had a TV in my office. I was able to do pleadings and interrogatories all day long and I just kept looking at the TV.. somebody had put them on TV on CNN earlier because somebody was in my office looking for something and I switched it to Fox. Lol it just became a thing because I have been watching Fox News since 96 when it came on and I used to love to watch Bill O'Reilly. I was 27 or 28 watching Bill O'Reilly and so people at the law firm were asking me when I was 31 the world I watched this old man. It's because he was right most of the time. It's just kind of sad to think now that what we do have a Democrat party or some radical socialist Communist and they're not Democrats at all. Nancy & Chucky are Democrat socialists.. these others we have in the Democrat party or anything but and they are radical. Chuck is concerned he's going to lose his senate seat to Alexandria Cortez but she doesn't have any political class and she's nothing but a big mouth with a microphone. It doesn't mean she can't beat him but it's just that she doesn't have the political prowess that people like Nancy pelosi or Chuck have because they've been doing this for so much longer and they have so much more experience and therefore intelligent.

Donald Trump has been so involved with his own employees. All restaurants he does business with. Don't throw their food in the trash not used. He fed his employee's with that food.. & chiefs cooking it for his employees, to order. He paid them fairly, no one went without advancements in business, & earnings depending on their work ethics, and not making mistakes, & providing the best experience for all customers, & staff. He had medical staff on board just incase needed at work, he made changes for those who's health required a lil change. Nothing crazy. He went around and addressed different employees within departments. And wanted to hear from them about anything that could be better for all involved. If you didn't work for him, or were a family member, you'd be clueless as to what sort of man he is. He is real, authentic, honest within the context of the topic. As I am watching this in June of 2022 his words are almost prophetic…the most interesting is that he did not necessarily foretell our current state, but rather told his listeners of past events and the effects of good vs failed policy and foreign and domestic leadership which in turn we currently see the exact same failures playing out.

Jordan Peterson blind out the world conflict before 1933 and 1939. US Americans blind out the historical fact that under the Wilson administration, the Government of the USA set up concentration-labor & deportation camp's, censored the media and created the CPI (Creel committee),4 Minute Men. The CPI is a "CheKa" type organization ad was even installed months before Lenin would install the "CheKa" which became the NKVD and then the KGB. - The Wilson administration would ban not only the German language but force German-America to americanize their names. The Wilson administration would also support US America wide book burnings of German-American literature. They would ban German music, German products, annex News Papers,Farms and Businesses and mark Germans who refused to go to war with YELLOW paint. At the same time the Germans would get the same beating and eve worse in Schlesien,Pomern and Danzig and so on. Now thats 1917 and that treatment of Germans kept on going long after the war of 1945. Thats 30 years of war against Germany for the simple reason of "Commerce,Money,Patents,Wealth and Supreme dominance over Europe" - So in this case Jordan Peterson leaves out all the issues which have led to 1933 (which was a liberation from Versailles Verdict), the German-American history, the German-West-Russian history and German central European history. How did Lenin come up? How could Wilson shut down the Constitution? What makes Stalin a dictator? - If Peterson only elaborates on Hilter, he will fail. But i doubt that Peterson does NOT know about the true historical events that have led to ww1 & 2. - Focusing on Hilter-Germany 1933-45 and playing down a 30 year world war on the last 4 years of Germany (there is nothing before 1939 for which you could condemn the Germans legally, really) wont really educate a mind on what a Dictator is. They blind out their own crimes...if they would of not treated the Germans like a bag of dirt, world war 2, which was a Allied-Communist war, would of not happened. Thats the truth.

But , please , have Dr Peterson only speak for 2 or 3 minutes the most at a time . He has this tendency to not only drag things out way too long , with labyrinths- like recapturing or re- phrasing of special , yet simple! topics , but to turn these into endless " mental masturbation " sessions . Sorry , but one can only suffer his elasto- plastic , ever- stretching , monologues for so long , before turning away completely . Smart professor , great and likable guy , but a more structured , staight- to - the - point , keywords- kind of lecture , might be truly more enjoyable .

I commend the adminstrators of Hillsdale College for knowing how to conduct a lecture like this and for maintaining discipline. There are few campuses in America today where a conservative speaker can appear and favorably discuss a controversial figure like Trump without a bevy of privileged young socialists barging in and chanting juvenile slogans about "safety" or "white privilege." I suspect a liberal speaker on campus would be shown the same courtesy at Hillsdale. While at our "elite" universities, the administrators are in league with the agenda of their rowdy students to suppress free speech and any intellectual challenge to the neo-Marxist orthodoxy of the faculty. They actually encourage students to shout down or disrupt conservative speakers on campus. When did incivility become part of a liberal education? Hillsdale provides a glimpse of what Academia used to be, a place where students were taught how to think, not what to think, and controversial views -- rationally expressed and supported by facts -- were welcome. The educated response to bad ideas is better ideas.

There is a important difference between what most people see as pure socialism and what many countries have known as democratic socialism, democratic socialism is very similar to what we have here in the USA, we are seeking to extend our current social benefits to include universal healthcare and affordable higher education personally I do not see a downside to that.

Social Security and Medicare are but two of many examples. I say this from my personal experience of working as a Federal employee for over 30 years. Besides, the money needed to run or subsidize the programs mentioned (plus many others) come from taxpayers, including you. Do I need to say more? Mostly based on your comfort level with risk. Better off sizing in when things go your way when trading an account with mini futures or high leverage. In this manner, your initial stop loss is still a respectable one. However, if you trade micros or with minimal leverage, you might as well start at "full size." Although it increases the win percentage, micros still have a stop loss that is not very near to the entrance. IMHO. For your own convenience, I would advise you to seek professional advice.

Sure Trump might act deliberately unpredictable to unlock extra bargain power, but that's it! There is no super-smart deterrence agenda (he spent his first months telling his allies can't count on the US anymore) , and the GDP-wins-votes plan is a GOP concoction, if anything! I. Mr. Hanson thinks outside the box. He studies what a person says and observes what a person does. His conclusions are more on the whole not what outsiders say. He draws his conclusions by actions not gossip. In-other-words he has a mind of his own as well as a sense of humor. I like that he talks to us, his audience, sharing his points-of-view as if telling a story to a long time friend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When it comes to video's regarding Trump news, notice the volume is more difficult to follow. Is it Google's You Tube? Certainly it is not my PC., which is newer when video's with everyday household subjects come through crystal clear. Besides current Trump good news videos, are getting more and more difficult to find. They don't come up easy as they had during the campaign days. Suggestion here: If they are harder to find or hear. Take the few extra clicks to bring them to the front & listen harder. Share these pieces of news with your friends as much as possible and ask them to do the same. To much negative promotion is jumping out at us first. We need to balance the scales. More of Trumps accomplishments need to be heard & less of gossip. We voted for the man. He should be left alone to get the job done with more of his positive goals for America moving forward. The end of his term if he slacks off on his own then vote for the next president. Meanwhile let the man do his thing. The Dems. are terrified he will get America going & thus be more respected by countries throughout the world. Do you dear reader think that perhaps too, they are in total fear of loosing their dark-sided gravy train? And too perhaps face jail time for picking our pockets so badly? They have had enough time to grow our country but only doubled our debt and left us to fend for ourselves with higher taxes, poor health programs, embarrassing school programs, potential war, high unemployment, no protection from criminal illegal immigrants, while facing skyrocketing inflation. Trump Sr. is trying to pickup the pieces of a once thriving America. We voted for this. The man is moving forward with obstacles. If we take the chains off we could see him fly. Focus on what you came here to do Mr. President you have the 'deplorables' of all backgrounds on your side. And Sir there is more of us and less of them. They just bark louder. Every 'deplorable' reading this should vote this November and give the man the support team he needs to accomplish more for the country. Our country! This could be our way of speaking softly but carrying a bigger stick. It's our turn to move forward and for the first time in decades we have the man with the guts to get the job going, now let's get the job done!

My beloved brothers and sisters, besides the resources? That the world is addicted to? But who in the neighborhood? Will truly recognize God's will and COMMANDMENTS upon all dry GROUNDS? Reasons, there are individuals, world view. Certain race is above all races? Sheeps clothing they wear? But wolves, their world view is above all men. Jesus christ became known for a reason? Jesus christ chose the weak to shame the wise of this world. Commanded to look at you as kings and priests who are worth respecting, honoring, loving, and giving my life for a friend kind of love. Lions and a lamb by choice. Say his name I'm with you. Reason, God's feet is your feet? The world nor all dry GROUNDS is God's footstool indeed. @LLOVE @LLONE

❤️ this! Trump 2020 from a conservative senior Caucasian suburban woman in South Central Pennsylvania in the Red zone part of PA. I would most likely be referred to as somewhat upper middle class; however, I choose not to judge other people based upon sex, skin color, ethnicity, etc. If I did that then I would have to consider myself as an elitist, which in my opinion means I don't know what I don't know. Progressives assume they know better as to how the rest of us should behave and live OUR OWN LIVES. My Husband and I spent our vacation time this year visiting other parts of PA because I felt it was our duty to help our fellow Pennsylvanians try to begin earning a living again because of the rather Draconian COVID closures here and spending our discretionary monies in more hard hit PA Counties was the correct and honorable way to help people in those hard hit communities to try to rebound from this economic disaster.

Unfortunately Sam Harris has an emotional reaction to Trump which seems to blind him to facts. He's a typical elitist who considers Trump below him because of his brash personality, despite agreeing with him on nearly every issue. Its sad because he's so objective and unbiased on other topics. "Intellectuals" like Harris have accomplished nothing policy wise, its men like Trump who brought issues like illegal immigration and islamic terror to the forefront. Harris strikes me as a typical academic who resents those that actually accomplish things.

Sam Harris is anything BUT unbiased and objective. He's an absolute dunce who regularly gets his ass handed to him by people who actually know how to employ logic. Also his entire worldview is fundamentally self refuting and nonsensical on its foundational level.

200% SMUG, I do not think Sam agrees with Trump "on nearly every issue" as you suggest and Sam is NOT an academic. An academic is someone who makes a career out of being a university professor and doing research of some kind. Sam may have a PhD but he is a writer and podcast show host, he doesn't have any teaching or research positions that I am aware of. But you are right, he is an elitist and looks down on people who are not in his social set. I would also like it if Sam would talk to more people who live and think outside of his comfort zone, like for instance VDH. We would all benefit from it.

Harris has also stated in the past he has a sort of psychological distaste for Trump. I'm not certain it invalidates all his polemics against Trump, but I think his opinions get a little monotonous when it comes to Trump.

I have great respect to you Victor Davis Hanson. I love to watch your show because as long as I live in the world, I want to know the truth, only truth, that’s why I can’t watch news media. It’s scard me a lot. People’s intentions are so different. I knew President Trump is one of the person, who is more honest than anybody, who will do more honest and good things for people. I knew because I talked with few people over here, they don’t like Trump at all. It’s make me very surprised, but it’s people’s choice. I know it’s propaganda going on here. The other day I am watching Bob Wood, he is well known American guy came to Canada, Toronto, was given a speech to the journalists. I was surprised, he talked all about bad things of Trump. What Trump does is bad. He didn’t even talked about Joe Biden, though he knows all about what Joe Biden does. There must be some reason why he came at this time tells about Trump is a bad person. It’s all about propaganda. Thanks

Don’t ask me to name those other people just now. William F Buckley whom I conversed with after he spoke at a college I attended back in the 1970’s. Dr Hansen and W F Buckley both gentlemen, the former could be like conversing with the guy in the pew in front of me in the small town church I attend. @@minnowpd The big problem with Iraq invading Kuwait is the Iraqis plundered as much wealth from Kuwait as the possibly could. A couple of guys in Britain bought an Iraqi T-72 tank. When they got it to England they discovered it had a false fuel tank. Inside of it they found several gold bars which were apparently stolen from Kuwait.

F. Friedrich Kling @ F. Friedrich Kling So what if he often arrived late at school in order for everyone to see him being dropped off in a limo....or shirked military service, or even if he made locker room banter that as a star he can grab women in the pussy and get away with it? I chose to vote for him precisely because he is not a swampland politician like Hillary and I will vote for him again come 2020! Why don’t you just come to grips with the fact that elections have consequences and that Trump will likely get reelected? The silent majority in the heartland States (as opposed to the coastal States that have been demographically re-engineered by Democrats who condone illegal immigration and establish sanctuary cities), after seeing that Trump is delivering on his campaign promises, will come out in even greater numbers in 2020 to ensure that he stays in office. Before I forget, just like Donald Trump, I also wouldn’t come to a class reunion just to rub shoulders with entitled and uppity SOBs like you. Instead, I’ll probably just host a barbecue for close school friends from years gone by and show them around the White House afterwards because surely, that would mean more for me and them alike. Lastly, why don’t you just relax and get yourself a life!
