You can feed the tank by syphon its easy to tell when the tank is full as water runs out the air vents on the top and drips on the floor regards Mike

A simple hose fitting on the end would also let you use the standard push fittings, and a hose to fill. As per the video, put the 'male' end on the tank side so it still drains easy.

Can confirm how amazing these are. I've had one in my N70 hilux since and now looking back here again looking at one for my N80. I ended up with a small brass quarter turn tap and 200mm of copper pipe to the white hose fixed to the bumper bracket so you could operate the water tap with one hand and have pump soap in the other hand etc. Through all the corrugations of the gibbriver road, Tanami desert and grand central desert never had any leaks or issues with it at all. Shame the old hilux doesn't fit the latest hilux. otherwise, I would have removed it.

Hi, Looking at getting one from Swan Hill. What is the flow rate like when using? I'm hoping it doesn't just drip out? And do the brackets allow for a small tilt towards the exit tube for when the tank is getting low?

The flow rate is good I use it to wash my hands when I out working It seems to empty quite well I suppose if you parked nose first down a steep hill you might no get the last drop out I am very happy with it over the last three years regards mike

Hi its a rust preventive made from the wool of sheep you can buy different types some are like WD40 and others form a dry skin its great stuff I have a rust free Suzuki Vitara 1991 that's seen a lot of beach work you can buy on Ebay look up Lanotec steel seal best to buy it in a trigger bottle as the propellant in aerosol cans might bother rubber parts I have been applying it annually on the hilux from new get it as clean as you can then target all the areas that water and dirt can get trapped give it s week to dry before hitting the beach and if you want a smother ride on leaf springs use the regular spray on the rear leafs helps them slide past each other regards Mike

Hi Andrew the tank has two breathers with a filter type washer to prevent dirt entering it doesn’t have a filler on top only the outlet hose you need a hose or pump to refill it gravity can do it from a jerrycan in the tray regards mike

Hey mate how did you find the footwell tank? I'm looking at getting one. Do you need a pump to get all the water out of it ?

It works well you know when it’s only has a quarter left in it as it doesn’t flow out of the hose you have to lift the side of the tank opposite the hose or do a bit of high speed circuits it’s a good tank that’s removable.For the four door crew cabs you can get a water bladder that goes behind the rear seat back

Hi it has two breathers they have foam pads to prevent dust ingress it fills from a garden hose or you can fill by siphoning from a jerrycans in the tray you know when it’s full water drips out regards mike
