I've been feeling low these past days and a good dose of NNKH 2 was just what the doctor ordered. E bikes require road tax and insurance already in the U.K, you can have power assist under a certain wattage but this bike would be classed as a motorbike/moped by law, thanks for another top notch video Chris, great camera work and riding skills, say that's a nice bike.

Insurance?? Against what? One would think people would be happy about less cars and more bikes. But No! They wanna be and make it miserable
@schsch23907 ай бұрын
@@theone2be33 EU regulates Class 4 bikes like this as electric mo-peds and limits speed to 15mph max. If they become more common in the US I suspect similar regs will begin to appear as they have in some jurisdictions already. Insurance is a consideration when one considers riding such in dense urban areas and what might be the (legal/medical) consequences of an 80# bike + 200# rider colliding at 25 mph with a pedestrian.

It doesn't matter because people supposed to be walking in their lane not all over the place where he was ringing the bell. If they had a conscience about other people may be on the path then maybe a thank you would be warranted. And he wasn't riding past them at a high rate of speed. He was being respectful and curtious. Great high-speed review! BEWARE of fire risk when charging e-bikes and scooters as these batteries are generally less high quality than EV cars. Multiple examples of fires in Australia late 2023 continuing 2024, with 2 fatalities this week in Auss as 4.00 am charging started a fire and owners did not get out fast enough. Battery fires are hard to extinguish. They are chemical fires which self-feed and run away really fast. Thanks.

then stop buying aftermarket batteries and leaving them plugged in all the time and they'll stop catching fire. you turn off the oven when you're done; you turn off the car when you're done

you rode only about a mile from me i know that greenway and most of where you were. i am looking to get one of these bikes you reviewed probably get the e26 , to do rail path trips like this and off road adventurers while traveling and camping. but not too keen on the weight and bulk of the bigger bikes , as i would be loading and unloading into a pickup, but still want it to look more bike then a ebike but still have the power for rough off road. this ones definitely to expensive tho NJ is considering future laws that would require registration and insurance for e bikes in the future so everyone should enjoy the fun while it lasts

Chris, Thank you for going down that rocky, bumpy, dirt path along the Raritan. I have hesitated to buy an ebike because I'm not sure the tires, etc. can survive rough travel. over bad roads. I intend to use a bike/ebike to access backwoods trout streams in PA. The rumor is ebike tires go flat regularly. What do you know about putting dirt motorbike tires on ebike rims?
@NNKH28 ай бұрын
I haven't had a problem with flat tires except out in the desert when there are cacti everywhere. Then I get many flats. Tire slime is a worthwhile upgrade to prevent them or even better an armor insert for tires

Cute little bike but, 750 watts be legal in Most of Canada unless it's registered, licensed, insured, and possibly a safety for licensing. like gas scooters/mopeds over 49cc.. And you need a license, the same as mopeds/scooters over 49cc. In Canada, if you are going over 500 watts, you may as well buy a small gas motorbike. It would really suck to have a cop take it, then jump through hoops to get it back
