What about repeating the same move but without the intensity? Like going for 50 kicks but doing them slowly and more focused in perfecting the movement and not so much of power? Would that still make you hurt in the long run?

Yes, what amounts to “too much” is the combination of volume (quantity, reps, duration) and intensity (percentage of maximum effort). To minimise the chances of overuse injury, the main thing isn’t just the how much you do, but how progressive you are in getting there.
