Nice & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。"Musical diversity" is what BABYMETAL are always pursuing. This song has been welcome by many people with Indian background. I am sure Team BABYMETAL is happy to see that. I can imagine how diligently the songwriter, choreographer, Su / Moa, and Kamis tried to understand and study Indian music and dance moves. They took a risk of being called "fake" or "cheap copy" of Indian music whereas they really wanted to create their own metal music with comfortable Indian flavor paying their due respect to the culture.

Seriously i found that they did a proper research to produce this music! Not only in the lyrics but at its presentation, dance , vibe everywhere i found perfection. There's also modifications that's not exactly Indian. Rather it's the best fusion. Truly, this is not cultural appropriation, rather this is cultural appreciation!

Wow, Thanks for your great reaction. Been listening to this song for two years and didn't know until now that Shanti means peace and Accha means OK. BabyMetal really creates a lot of metals that we never thought of. I've always been proud of BabyMetal. Hope to see your next BabyMetal reaction soon.

Thanks for the great reactions. I was born and raised near a 460 year old Buddhist temple in a mountain village in Japan. The name of the district probably translates to कमल का मैदान in Hindi. I believe that BABYMETAL's music has the power to transcend all barriers and bring people together. Fox sign up!🤘🦊🤘

Love this song but please try to avoid anything from Glastonbury Festival, i know the girls still looks amazing when performing live but the sound is horrible due to bad sound mixing. Just like you said this song represent an example of cultural appreciation. Samsara and the cycle of birth, death and rebirth is a recurring theme, you'll see more of this when reaching the Trilogy Of Lights, a set of songs to represent this neverending ongoing cycle. My suggestion goes always over any BM song but if you want another metal band with Indian elements then i suggest you Bloddywood, pick any song with higher views, they're really good and even got the attention from the BM producer and creator, KobaMetal. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥

Very good reaction.... however you are WRONG saying that the editing is out of time at 5:52. If you listen to the music you will find that for the purposes of musical contrast, the bass player actually does drop out for that 8 beat section! Anyway, more BABYMETAL reactions please! They are about to release their 4th album :)

Nicely done. Out of all the songs they have done with cultural flavors to them. Shanti Shanti Shanti gets the most praise. The 3rd album Babymetal did promoted not only the musical diversity that Babymetal was famous for. But also, they added cultural styles from places they visited around the world. They wanted to show how much they appreciated the fans there. While Night Night Burn does a great job of this with its Latin flare. I think Shanti not only got the music right, not only got the vocal stylization right, but they also got the dancing right as well. Put it all together and Babymetal performed a masterpiece. Sadly, Glastonbury messed up the audio on the broad cast. One of the bass drums isn't mic right. There are a few other mistakes as well. But what's done is done. Since you're relatively new to Babymetal. I suggest starting from the beginning. Their first song is Doki Doki Morning. By starting here, you get to grow with the band. Literally since they started so young. Lucky for finding them now. You can listen to their first 3 album without the wait and their fourth album is due out soon. Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Thanks for this reaction ! It's always great to hear that Babymetal didn't just do cultural appropriate, but proper cultural appreciation. In part because we don't always get to hear about what goes on behind the scenes, Babymetal is a bit like a black box that certain parts But I think they might have been greatly influenced by a band called: Bloodywood. They are from India and have found their sound of combing metal and traditional Indian music and instruments through lots of experimentation. And I'm certain Babymetal got the idea of combining both from them. I've seen both Babymetal and Bloodywood live (not at the same show, so far they've never been at the same show or festival) in my country in Europe and they know how to deliver it live. They both have great energy on stage and very good sound engineers/live sound. If you want to do a reaction to Bloodywood, I recommend: Jee Veerey. Be careful Bloodywood deals with heavy topics, they don't just make heavy music. The Bloodywood guys have a musician friend, on KZbin called: TheSnakeCharmer, she plays bagpines combining Indian with other cultures, if you want to react to her, I would recommend: Mehndi Da. Both Bloodywood and "The Snake Charmer" started on KZbin creating covers of well known music and slowly creating their own original music. And both used (KZbin ads?) and Patreon funding to help their career. Bloodywood is kind of famous in the metal world, Babymetal is more famous. I just got a metal magazine edition a couple of days ago Babymetal on the cover, big interview, but also had Bloodywood couple of pages interview as well.

This video is from Glastonbury LIVE. The BBC (who was in charge at this Festival) did a terrible (I say incompetent) job with sound production (some mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) also Glastonbury is a pop festival with the audience unfamiliar with metal and therefore very laid back. This was probably the worst LIVE performance you can see of them (not the fault of BabyMetal). I wince every time a reactor watches a LIVE BabyMetal performance from here as I fear they will come away with an unfair view of BabyMetal LIVE.

Yes , this may be true but the reason I choose to react on this live version is because here I can see them dance properly while the Indian carnatic music played on !

Understood. And agree about the choreography (always suggest LIVE with BabyMetal but if you do an MV I suggest watching or reacting to a LIVE version as well EXCEPT Glastonbury 😉). Until next time.
