Yoga blocks are for EVERYONE! Using yoga blocks does not make you "weak;" in fact, you'll get a much better stretch when you stabilize yourself with props (such as blocks). Yoga blocks are easy to find in stores and online. Here's an example: amzn.to/2LharB2

Yoga blocks are my favorite prop! I use them for both stretching and strengthening exercises. If you don't have a set, you can easily find them online... they're inexpensive and you'll be so glad you have a pair! Enjoy this pelvic floor stretching routine 💖

You're absolutely right. Many people find it challenging to learn the nuances of yoga, especially when it comes to pelvic floor engagement and relaxation. It's essential to have proper guidance and support, especially as a beginner, to avoid added stress or strain in other parts of the body. If you're experiencing specific difficulties or discomfort in your practice, consider seeking guidance from an experienced yoga instructor or even a pelvic floor specialist who can provide tailored instructions and exercises to ensure a safe and effective practice.

Dear Dr. Bri, You have made yet another beautiful and helpful video! I just got yoga blocks a couple weeks ago and they are amazing! They feel better to sit on stacked then any chair! Allows me to sit ergonomically instead of like hunched in a chair. When I sit on chairs or couches i feel like they really undermine my body's desired posture, I feel like it strains my pelvic floor and causes my drifted/prolapsed bladder to be more irritated. Yoga blocks are a miracle, looking forward to having more of them in my life, Qi Qi my 2 year old likes to grab them and play with them and notices when I use them, soon he will be a pelvic floor master mover too lol ** r Today was a hard day for me and I have been stress eating, and holding in grief. To be honest, I am struggling with strained relations with my kids, doing so much stuff alone, and my 10 year old took off from the house today when he was supposed to do homeschool with me and help with chores. That has been a hard blow for me, yesterday I got so busy I didn't get to do my lift exercises or any pelvic floor relaxing or strengthening videos like I wanted to (but I am glad to say I was able to do a few moves here and there that I have learned from you without video, but its still not always the same as doing a full relaxing session with you) My son has needed extra support by way of counselor a long time and still not gotten access to it yet. but all this wears on me, and your video really relaxed me. Yesterday would have been my 3rd day in a row doing lift program so going to go at it today. *** )and relax and fully experience the benefits! Made me realize that some of my issues like my knee have held me back from getting the most out of poses, excited to use what I learn today from this video with theyoga blocks anytime I need to get extra support to my knee in an unexpected way (using yoga blocks for knee support gave more relief and pain elimination than putting a blanket under my knee for some reason) *** One last question: I noticed my shoulders and neck strainin and wrists when I was holding stretches with the blocks, I was wondering what muscles I should be engaging to hold poses because it feels like maybe I am not using the right muscles

so, our pelvis should always be relaxed?
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
The pelvic floor muscles should maintain a balance of tone, neither too tense nor too relaxed, for proper function. Chronic tension or relaxation can lead to various issues, so it's crucial to have the ability to engage and relax these muscles as needed. Pelvic floor exercises can help achieve this balance, but they should be done correctly and under professional guidance. Consulting a healthcare provider or pelvic floor specialist is essential for tailored guidance if you're experiencing pelvic floor issues. ~ Vibrant Support

Pelvic floor tension can absolutely contribute to frequent urination. I suggest seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist for an evaluation to see if pelvic tension is a concern for you! If it is, then my pelvic pain and tension videos will help. Everyone is different in how long it takes to experience relief.

Sure, if you have the flexibility to be able to relax into the poses, you can definitely do this routine without props! You can also experiment with household items such as stacks of books (as long as they're stable and sturdy).

Hi Dr Bri, could you please make your next video on hard flaccid, Also I have just been to my pelvic floor physical therapist and she said I have a lot of tone in my adductors pelvic floor and abdomen. Do you think that is causing hard flaccid.
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth 2 жыл бұрын
YES, this excess tension in your adductors, pelvic floor, and abdomen could be contributing to HF. We plan to release a video on HF soon (within the next month or two), but for now please explore my pelvic pain/tension playlist and/or my men's health playlist!
