This video is farce. First, it misrepresents Stack&Tilt. Next, none of players that Porzak Golf coaches demonstrate the swing description in this video. Adam says he teaches the “worlds best swings”. he does not. He is lying. After that NO player “rotates and covers without swaying”. They all sway forward. In addition to that, all players extend and side tilt on the backswing and downswing, they do not just rotate. After that, Adam lied about players on the tour referring to Stack& Tilt and when was called out about it he deleted his and everyone else’s comments. Adam picked an argument based on false pretenses. When he was confronted he ran and hid. Frankly, this whole channel is farce, that relies on the relative ignorance of the golf population to listen to his schtick.

The feeling i get as a right handed golfer is when i bump the pressure in my left foot feels even throughout my foot and the pressure in my right foot feels more to my right instep. It's not a giant bump for me to get this feel. Then on back swing the pressure moves toward the heal of my right foot without straightening the right knee although it does a little. Then the downswing starts. At 65 years old this makes my turn much easier and consistent. Your videos are great! Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have watching your videos for close to over 2 years, you bring and show so much passion. The hip bump seems so simple and straight forward but its hard to get right, at least for me. As you mention my feel vs real is different.

Sorry for late sub been stumble across your videos not long ago and been watching since . I have been put your hip bump to the range sessions and using your connection drill with head cover under right armpit to get proper rotation and stay connected with the turn . This has improve my ball striking like I have never experience before my shots were so compressed !!!!!🤩 Thank you for all your knowledges you share with us . Also i have already recommended your videos to all my golf friends to check you out 😀

Makes a little more sense now. Was getting confused because there is also the hip bump at the end of the backswing to start the downswing that a lot talk about being the first movement of the downswing to help open the hips.

Good subject! Still don't see that much difference. 3:10 'not transferring the weight appropriately' What's the definition of appropriately? (I suspect that moving a little weight backwards to the inside of the trail foot is a differentiator?) What I do agree on is that the Porzak hip bump helps to let backswing rotation happen more easily. Other than that your method seems to also focus on making sure the shoulder center stays intact, focuses on compression, face and low point control. Instead (thankfully) on speed, which I think is overrated. All stuff I love to work on. And maybe, but that is just a subjective feel, the hip bump helps me to keep the lateral forward hip motion in the S&T downswing a bit more under control..? I noticed that in pure S&T (for me that's basically your method w/o the hip bump) I can sometime move the hip too much forward in transition. In that regard (if that is one of the ideas behind the hip bump) your method would have a good 'brake' element. Come to think of it, it looks like it would biomechanically promote the right side bend a little easier too in the downswing?
@PorzakGolf4 ай бұрын
We have so many videos clearly covering the topic! It’s very important to understand that it’s your upper body placing pressure into your lower body by simply turning on top of it, not your lower body moving laterally! Lateral movement happens naturally and should not be worked on or purposefully created in the swing.

Flating out my feet instead of parallel &square helps turning my hips - especially when you‘re getting older. Would hip-bump work with not parallel feet as well?

Can the hip bump be overdone? I’ve been practicing it all summer and I’ve improved my golf game significantly (from 22 to 16 handicap). I can hit great shots with it but my miss tends to be thin shots, even topped one sometimes with longer clubs. Are those typical misses that you see from someone who’s overdoing it? If Im bumping more than one inch, perhaps Im not staying as level as I think I am. I will be booking a facetime lesson soon

Because you upper body would be stuck back and low point thus gets pushed back, a hip bump and turning behind the ball is bad advice
@PorzakGolf4 ай бұрын
This is absolutely not the case…for all of our players it moves the low point forward. Guaranteed when you’re doing this, you’re dropping your upper body back too far(dropping your trail shoulder). Leave your sternum exactly where it is at a neutral position and simply shift your hips forward. Make sure to not drop your shoulder like I explained at about the 2:45 mark in this video. Samuel is greatly mistaken and isn’t clear or understands what’s being accomplished here AT ALL. But that’s why we’re fortunate this isn’t Samuel Golf and it’s Porzak Golf! This is the exact same setup Tiger, Jack, Player as well as many of the all time greats. Ludvig definitively does this every time he sets up and many many others including all my players…and my team flushes it.

@@KS-iy5xr trail shoulder is a common cause of upper body back! 90% of lessons I do is getting low point control and moving it forward with irons .. controlling the centre of pelvis and sternum plays a big part controlling low point so using a spam account to say otherwise works out less for you

@@samuelphillipsgolf thanks for all the explanation. How about you coach on your own channel or wherever you “coach” at. But KZbin comments of another coach’s channel is not the place. First, this video misrepresents Stack&Tilt. Adam does not have any idea at all what he is talking about. Next, none of the players he coaches “rotate and cover without swaying”. They all sway forward. Has he even explained what “cover” actually is? After that, no one “rotates around their spine angle” including Adam, they ALL extend, tilt laterally, both on the backswing and downswing, and sway. His explanation would not stand up to the slightest scrutiny as I have suggested here. His whole schtick begins with a lie where he claims he coaches the world’s best swings. He does not. He then lied about stack and tilt and the players who use it without evidence in this thread. The entire channel requires on the relative ignorance of the golf population. Let’s be clear here, it is he who is talking about me, and I don’t even know who he is.
