In this video Adam teaches you how the hands and hips really work in the downswing. He goes over set up checkpoints like the hip bump, hands at impact and a connected backswing. An important tip to know is that in the entire golf swing, the hands have a further distance to travel versus the hips. With that in mind, the downswing requires a synchronization of the hands and hips in order to avoid the hands trailing behind the body, leading to weak shots or snap hooks. We encourage the hands being in front of the body to promote better contact and shot shape.

Late to the party on some of these videos. As an old High School/College golfer that was never a great ball striker... you've completely changed my game. The hip bump and feeling of coiling in the lower body and firing that left pocket back has given me 10+ yards on every club. Your ability to articulate your swing theory is amazing... well done brother, I wish i was out on the west coast and could pay for an actual lesson.

This video has completely changed my golf swing. The hip bump at setup made all the difference in the world to get into the correct impact position with the club bottoming out after the ball. Simplifies the backswing and downswing. No more awkward hip movements midswing that caused back pain and misses left and right. No need to worry about timing everything perfectly. You are a genius. Thank you!

It’s gold, Jerry. Pure gold! One of the best lessons ever. I’m an accomplished skier and here’s what clicked for me. Constant rotation. Keep moving forward. Just like I’m skiing. Knees flexed, relaxed, always moving forward down the hill, ahead of my skies. The steeper the terrain, the more I throw myself down the mountain. I know my inside edge will be there. Today I was knocking down pins, kept my hips moving through the swing, just trusting that the club head would do its job. Effortless. As James Caan (who died today at 82 RIP) would say, bada bing! Putting for birdie.

Thanks Adam, A great video lesson not covered by others. I tried it at the range today and made much better contact and ball flight looked really good. On my way to scratch golf, down to a 5 index from a 10 before I retired 6 months ago. Golf feels so good, I look forward to playing every week and your next video lesson. I would like to meet you for a swing evaluation someday and bring my sons as well. They shoot in the 80's and love the game. I live about an hour away and available anytime.

Adam you’ve been my god the past year and I’ve recommended you to everyone I know. I can’t wrap my head around your downswing part. Everyone else i follow talks about leaving the hands/upper body in the DS to create separation and to create space for the hands to travel down. I think you know what I mean. This seperation part and really clearing the hips has helped me a lot to stripe the ball pure. Your idea with fast hands just makes me steep as a jeep as I pull the club down. I know your theory works my man. I just think you might need to do a video on this topic for a medium hcp golfer like me 😂 Love your work and please do a step by step downswing video since you’re my god haha.

I’m general if they need more turn in the backswing we will pull right foot back a little and be sure their setup in reverse K in face on setup, if they need more rotation on way through would could open up stance or flare front foot. It’s a give and take so we’d have to look the player
