One of the best performances ever :CMA awards, with Chris, Morgane and Justin Timberlake. Chris has alot of great songs out now, but Tenn Whiskey is incredible. One of my favorite songs , is Traveller. Just me, I relate to that song. According to Chris, he and Morgane wrote that song in 10 minutes! I had a unique opportunity to see the writer of this song, Dean Dillon, sing it during a song swap at Outlaws & Legends Music Festival in Colorado. George Jones was the artist that originally recorded the song, and as much as I love Jones, this Chris Stapleton version is my favorite! What a treat to hear the writer talk about the song and sing it, though. He sang it to his wife. ♡ Dean Dillon is a legendary songwriter! 🙌

It is absolutely country soul. To me"soul" is music that touches you and takes you to THAT place. It borderlines on a near-spiritual experience because the artist bares their soul and gets real during the song.

I just started to listen to your channel. I loved your reaction. So genuine and honest without talking too much. I really like that. I listen to a lot of young black people who react to modern music, all genres. Most of them are not even aware of other genres except Rao, hip, hop or alternative. Most of them don't even know who Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, Sam Cook, BB King, the righteous Brothers or any of the great 80's and 90's artists are. And country is out of their wheelhouse. Please listen to Vince Gill GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN and HOW GREAT THOU ART by Vince Gill and Carrie Underwood. If both these songs don't touch your soul, you don't have one. Chris had always been a songwriter until his wife who sings backup n harmony with him, convinced him to be a Singer out front....he had written many hits for other country artists including Garth Brooks. His career has taken off....in his prime right now. He's soulful just singing from the heart the way we all wish we could sing....watch this same song done with Justin Timberlake and you'll see JT cannot hold a candle to this gentleman.
