Pretty cool song huh? That whole album flies by in 28 min. and is pretty well played at that speed. They set the standard by which all other thrash metal albums are judged. You asked what abaccination was, and I agreed that the word in of itself did sound cool, so I checked it up. According to Wikipedia, Abaccination is "a form of corporal punishment or torture, in which the victim is blinded by having a red-hot metal plate held before their eyes." Due to the subject in this song (as in, what it is about), it's not all that surprising. And now that I've learned what it means, it doesn't strike me as all that cool anymore. On a sidenote, your yawn in the beginning was perfect timing for the scream.

A few things: - It's pronounce "Yo-Sev Meng-a-luh" - This song was intended to showcase the evils of the Nazi experiments at Auschwitz. It's not glorifying anything. So "headbanging along" isn't an endorsement of the activities, but an acknowledgment of their inhumanity, and an agreement to the sentiment "fuck the Nazis". Don't feel guilty. - I was eagerly waiting to see your reaction to the opening scream XDz = Abacination is a torture method that induces blindness, by holding a red-hot metal plate very close to the victim's eyes, while they're bound and unable to stop it. Although it's also been used, less commonly, to define an even more evil practice of binding a victim to a table, and very slowly dripping corrosive substances into the victim's eyes, drop by drop, until they die. This is believed to have been one of Mengele's vicious "experiments". And of course, the reason for the line "Abacinate! Eyes that bleed!"

@@sakurasfish2115 Technically, torture was never the actual goal of any of his experiments. He just had zero concern about it. The goal was information, such as whether humans can artificially change genetics, as well as testing the limits of human exposure to chemicals and extreme conditions. Obviously, the issue at hand was the horrific nature of the experiments, lack of consent by subjects, or concern for their safety or suffering. Using Jews as literal lab rats. Therefore, they were seen as crimes against humanity, regardless of any potential benefit they may provide to science.

Its time to finish the last chapter and close the book like i believe every great rock band has always done and always should do. To be honest i figured after the loss of jeff would have been the final note for them, but they always seem to have just a bit more left in them. I love Gary but i dont think he was ever meant to be a permanent member. crymzynplague the bass player for Primus from what I heard is really good at playing the bass solos. Plus he obviously is somewhat crazy but not too crazy with the solos on the bass. Why? Because he has had training and you don’t have to have a pick to play a bass guitar or just simply go with the Flea style with slapping the strings on the bass. And by Flea, I mean him from Red Hot Chili Peppers. You’ll actually understand once you get used to the solos on the bass. So there is my story. Plus I don’t think they suck at all. I think they’re unique in their own way.
