Watching your reactions is cathartic for me - in two ways, specifically. Firstly, I grew up listening to rock and metal. My dad was in a garage band when I was a kid. This is my element. Secondly, it's like experiencing the genre for the first time all over again, albeit vicariously. It's also refreshing to see someone that does some research before their experience, and actually pulls up the lyrics. Keep it up, man - your videos are fun to watch.
@Gruncival6 жыл бұрын
I've been on a binge of reaction videos for the last few days, almost all of them about System of a Down (my favorite band for the last 15 years) and a few other rock/metal groups. I feel almost a guilty pleasure out of these, telling myself to just put the songs on directly, but not actually doing so. I think I'm reliving the sense of discovery that I had in my youth. When I see someone react to System with this energy, I feel the same excitement for the song that I don't get to have when I'm just listening to the albums in my headphones every so often. I'm surprised, but glad, that reaction channels like this one exist.
@ryanmatthews37506 жыл бұрын
@@Gruncival No doubt. For Rock and Metal enthusiasts, it means a lot to see folks like Alex here, who might have been negatively biased in the past (or just uninterested for whatever reason) come around to the other side and actually enjoy it. It's also refreshing to see any kind of content created where the creator is an open-minded person and willing to dive into genres that are foreign to them. This is how I came to like various styles of EDM. I used to be all Rock and Metal - Techno and other electronic music was for nerds and weebs - but, all it took was one track on a Paul Oakenfold CD to change my mind and come to know the intricacies and the skill that's required to produce some of that stuff.

PS After watching: I was kinda surprised after I heard that you thought SOAD sounded like Queen XD But the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. Queen have always experimented with their sound, they packed their songs with unusual parts and merged many different genres of music, just like SOAD does. Although the sound itself doesn't really remind me of them that much, the idea behind the music and experimentation is quite similar in Queen and SOAD.

I love this song! I first heard it on the radio and at first I was like, "Who the fuck is this? It's fucking beautiful!" Then, I heard the headbanging part, and I was like, "Oh, yep, I know this band!" I love how Serj and the primary guitar work is so smooth and mellow, and then he gets faster to the headbanging shit! The first song I heard from SOAD was "Aerials" and it was love at first hearing; you guys are incredible!

How can people not love this group and their uniqueness that will not be seen again. Great reaction, never seen anyone draw a beard and stash on their face with a marker.

My mind went to Rammstein as well but I was thinking "Du hast." Then he could pick from their original version or their English version. :)

The only thing about reacting to Rammstein is that when he does it, you end up having to download the reaction videos which is a huge pain in the butt. Otherwise, I fully support this!

The video for the piano version of that song is creepy and awesome. Gives me a dark opera feel

Or he could just go with the best one first, wich ofc is "Ich Tu Dir Weh" by Rammstein, and take a live version to get the full experience. Danm i wish they would stop by Denmark any time soon again. Seen them twice and nothing compares to their live shows.

Keep it up brah. BTW the way the moustache was a nice touch. Lol. Just a suggestion for you, check out Epica - Design Your Universe or Kingdom of Heaven. HAVE A DOPE ASS DAY!!!!

Carach Angren - Charles Francis Coghlan The band regularly uses ghost stories for their songs and this is about the writer Charles Coghlan. It is said that his coffin somehow after his burial was found at the east coast of the USA two thousand miles away from the graveyard where he was buried. Insomnium - Unsung It's a song about the fear of being forgotten after one has passed away. Dark Tranquillity - Lethe This song is about heroine addiction. The lyrics describe the peace it brings the addict (Lethe is one of the rivers of the underworld in Greek mythology) and the pain the addict has to suffer from it.
