This song was my first introduction to Linkin Park. My friend had just bought their first album, *Hybrid Theory*, shortly after it came out, and the first thing we did after he bought it was listen to it. ‘Papercut’ is the first song, and we were both hooked immediately. I just now realized that was over half my life ago. I haven’t spoken to that friend in nearly a year. It’s the middle of the night right now, so I’m going to call him tomorrow.
