I am going to guess that had you extended the original cutter down as well as up then the mysterious tiles that were not cut for some mysterious reason would've been cut just fine. Probably a deep down math rounding issue.

Excellent. One of the most important tips -- remembering to use move + new connecting lines -- when the plane of push/pull won't work. Although we all know this, it's so easy to get carried away with a more complex workaround for push/pull along different plane. Also, @Peter Srago, yes, Curic makes a great extensoin for this purpose.

Would it make file size sense to simply make the few tiles that you have to cut, unique? Having repeatable comps for the majority and only cutting unique tiles would positively impact the file size, would it not?

There must be an extension out somewhere for this. I really enjoyed the video. Dormer next ?

Always learning from your vids, thanks. By the way, your shingles look exactly like flat concrete tiles, something you find a lot of here in Florida. 😉

Now it's time for hip and ridge units. I would use PB3 w/ components.

When using Trim, I don't believe you need to select the tool for every cut - you should be able to select the cutter once, choose Trim, and cut with one click for each piece. That's been my experience, FWIW. Thanks Aaron!

nice technique to learn but they don't pay me enough to draw shingles on a house plan lol
