Great stuff Peter - beware of that Sun - as a Melanoma surviver of 23 years, I know how close I was to a bad end from something I couldn't even see!! I see you have already got the "must find shade to park in" thing going though :) Geez Pezza sure has provided you lads with just great roads to ride this year, what a legend! Bloody hell everyone and their dog are out camping in the UK - I guess with the block on international travel that's what everyone's doing - same is happening here. The New Forest seems a magical place, especially how close you can get to the animals - that was awesome! I reckon you'll realise just how capable you, and a loaded bike, actually are on the gravel and dodgy lanes soon enough, going great mate!

Cheers David. Yup, in the UK we are so not used to the heat and often unprepared for it. I had some sun lotion which I put on the day before, but I was sweating so much in the morning it would have sweated off me as fast as I could put it on. TBF, the only part of me showing on the bike was my face through the visor and had a flip down sun visor on that too. Aye, the shade is like a homing beacon when it is hot isn't it 😃 Pez very much knows how to plan a good route, I'm far too unorganised to plan them myself, so when I find good new routes it is mostly by accident 😁 I think most campsites are getting booked up really fast in the UK now, people are going mad for it. I hope they all shoot off abroad next year to make it easier for us! Haha 🤣 I loved being so close to the animals, you still get some crazy drivers though, its like they don't realise that a horse or a cow through their windscreen is more than likely going to kill them as well as the animal. Boils my pee that does. Am sure with practice I'll feel more confident on the bike, just need saddle time 🙂

Aye, lots of fun them tiny skinny lanes :-) He has got pretty slick at changing the tube on that bike now, we used Phils bike sidestand to break the bead on the tyre :-)

@@HippoDrones Hydration is imperative..... I know what you mean about not having a cam. I ride sometimes with the cam on my helmet, just in case, but I don't turn it on unless it's something good. I'm in Ilfracombe 10/11th September, but that's a 5 hour ride from my house. Another 2 hours in the saddle to St Austell might ruin my buttocks (it's the 7 hour ride home on the Sunday that would worry me lol)

I really liked the roads. It seems it is universal rule, that the narrower and more fun roads are mostly in poor condition. What's drating though? First time I have heard anyone get high with drating.
