abs are reactive muscles layin on your front they may be fairly relaxed, at least in comparison to when you find psoas. when you find soas you willl not be asking the same question ;) itll hurt good. psoas is a hip flexor (bringing knee to chest) , hope this helps

When is the best time to release psoas. Whenever I release it pre workout I usually end up injuring my low back. I’m guessing you shouldn’t be releasing it pre workout

the only way I can hold the bottom position of a squat is if I'm on the balls of my feet notes I am in a neutral position with torque but my heels do not touch the ground will bouncing around and camping out in this spot eventually put me in a good position with my whole foot on the ground or is this not good thank you also is this a tell that my ankles are my restriction or is it my hips

@@wellnesspathforme6236 Ive been on and off attacking my inflexabilty, I went to a chrio, went to a massage therapist, and then watched a bunch of videos, still cant touch the toes, or do splits, or forward fold. been doing the sensational yoga routines for limited hamstring flexability and seeing some improvement there. maybe somepeople just arent ment to bend.
@wellnesspathforme6236
@wellnesspathforme6236 4 жыл бұрын
@@Hibbard1986 Do you know your intracellular magnesium status? Magnesium allows muscles to relax, while calcium promotes contraction. The body should be in balance, but calcium is hyper-promoted and magnesium is basically ignored. A couple generations of dysregulation will lead to some issues. Bending can be a double-edged sword as there is healthy bending and dysregulated enzymatic bending. For example, lysyl oxidase is a copper-based enzyme. If ceruloplasmin-bound copper is deficient (which is a different form of copper than heavy metal toxic copper), lysyl oxidase won't create quality connective tissues and a person can be very flexible, but for the wrong reasons. I need to develop a consistent stretch program and just do it. I'm not trying to set world records, just get better over time and slow down the degenerative process when that finally takes over for good. Consistency is actually a big win, and some work reregulating our mineral status to better support enzymatic function is icing on the cake - organic, of course (and only as a treat!). -lol-

@@wellnesspathforme6236 i take magnesium citrate about 1800-2k mg every other day, past 8 weeks. randomly one day i tried a stretch i normally do and noticed 2-3 times my normal flexability. it was 1 day, and then it went away the next day.. not sure what happened.

This is the worst technique you can do with a ball or roller. What you don't know is that the kidneys are on top of the psoas. The aorta is there, stomach attaches by fascia to the left pm and comes down beside it. The colon is lateral and sticks to the via fascia. Fisrt you take a few minutes and pull the colon of the pm. Takes skill that you can't learn overnight or in a video. Then you have layers of fascia and muscle to slowly sink into. You just piss the viscera off by jamming it in the gut with no anatomy knowledge. If you knew anything about bodywork, which you don't, you would never do this. I think the idiot who owns the Grid roller, Cassidy Philips came up with this. He has no background in this field. Folks, Stretch your psoas using PNF or AIS stretching. Do not listen to this guy.
