I feel so bad for asami she lost so much also it’s cool that Korra levels up so much as an air bender bc when there were tryin to push the mech down her blast was so big all the other airbenders combined had to make one as big btw can’t wait for the finale Btw pls check out shera and the princesses of power it’s a great animation

This is why people say Asami could've had a villain arc over the course of what happens in this show. Her mom was murdered, her dad betrayed and almost killed her, her boyfriend messed around on her TWICE, her company was nearly ruined by a con man, her best friend was left paralyzed and spent three years away recovering, and now her dad dies after she finally started forgiving him. That is a LOT for a young person to deal with and still come out mentally and morally intact. ASAMI DESERVES BETTER.

the character is a lesson of how to endure. characters on both sides are supposed to receive great suffering to show how to deal with it well....and not well. Korra is in the spotlight to represent the teeter of management and mismanagement of stress and trauma. then there are characters on either side to show how to deal with extremes very well and extremely poor.

I mean... Asami now lost both her parents to benders... and STILL she holds no animosity towards benders. That woman is a SAINT! Apart from that... I straight up cried lol... Considering they were thinking about a villain arc for Asami... I mean, I wouldn't be mad about it 😏

Tenzin and the airbenders dive-bombing Kuvira's arm in order to throw off her attack was amazing and just brilliant! I actually thought Meelo was going to fartbend to save Tenzin, but I'm really glad he didn't since it was a pretty serious moment lol. Poor Asami. She just reconciled with her father, and then he dies in the next moment. The universe sure has a sick sense of humor lol. Overall though, I was glad that Hiroshi was able to at least redeem himself in the eyes of his daughter. Despite his wrongdoings in the past, he still loves his daughter and this city.

The scene where Hiroshi dies is sad but have you ever noticed that Asami is underused as a character unless it involves her father it's to the point where it's questionable if they had an idea what to do with her as a character.

You know who Kuvira reminds me of? Light Yagami from Death Note. They're both smart, think they're the heroes and that they're doing the right thing and consider anyone who tries to stop them the real villains. I mean, Bryke does love their anime influences in Avatar and Korra.
