We get them in India in Titan(Helios) watch stores. The leather loop (keeper)came loose after like 6 months or so. I used glue & put it back in place like twice. Been going strong ever since for 3 years now. I wear it daily. Edit: it's the Liberty seen around 7:38 & 14:47

They have a lot of really great strap options. Not the most affordable, but definitely really nice quality.

Good review. The Rebel Strap is very unique. I think I will pick one up. I have to laugh when the fashion police throw in their two cents about what is appropriate or non appropriate for one to wear. I am sure that someone who accually scuba dives laughs at the desk divers. I also have to laugh when they say that one should not wear a Nato with certain models. Frankly, I just wear what I like. I am especially fond of exotic leather straps. Deer, mouse, buffalo, cordovan, are all in my collection.

JustBlueFish Watch Reviews, unfortunately no. While on a business trip to Spain, I had my strap custom made. In fact, most of my straps are custom made. I did send your video to my friend. He really liked the Hirsch straps with the rubber backing.

If they had QR pins they would be pretty much perfect.

Every qr pin I've had has broke, causing me to rip open the strap and use pliers to take the thing off. Never buying quick release again

I just bought a QR strap and the pins look very dainty and I am unsure If I should trust them on my Longines Chrono.

I went with the leather performance strap with the rubber back. It looks great on my Davosa Ternos. I have worn it swimming and at the beach... Awesome! No problems whatsoever. As for the desk divers who think it is sacrilege to wear a leather strap, what do they know?)))

I love the Ranger so much I have 2 on different watches ( Richard LeGrand Odyssea and Glycine combat sub Golden eye) looking to get third one for my next way. Love how you can get PVD, gold or stainless steel buckles for the straps

An alternative to the Hirsch Ranger is the Colareb Siena, which I think has a slightly higher quality feel to it but is otherwise comparable.

I forget which Colareb straps I had in the past, but I had 2 on some Seiko 5 watches. I don't think they were Siena straps. I'll have to look into those.

HR are decent and especially at the price a good value. I've had a few over the years. But they're not as nice as these are. If the extra quality isn't worth the price to someone that's fair, I wouldn't try to start an argument.

That rubber material if it's natural may be gutta-percha. It is or was used in fillings for root canals and as the covering for Leica M3 and M4 cameras.

Now that you have tried out the leather straps with the rubberized backing, what's your verdict? Was it comfortable and durable? I prefer leather straps and I am intrigued by the rubber backing as I live a very active lifestyle.

I haven't taken them in the ocean to see how they hold up against water or anything but overall I think they're as comfortable as any leather strap I've used, and maybe more durable. I like them, but I prefer watches to be on a bracelet to any strap.

Hi Guy great review and the straps are fantastic.Tell me is the postal service in the USA very expensive,I ask because if I order something from America and it costs twenty dollars the postage can be a lot more expensive than the item plus you have to add on the duty tax,by the way I’m in the north of Ireland.Post from Ireland to the USA is about a quarter of the American service.Beautiful selection of straps.Thanks for sharing stay safe. 👍🏻

Thanks Paul. Using the postal service sending something in America isn’t to bad. A small package sent by priority mail, which is 2-3 day shipping, is around $7.00 or so. A medium sized package is around $13.00 but that’s a fairly large box.

Thank you for the review. My question is, is it producing any bad smell caused by the sweat? Because as I understood, the straps would leave a bad smell on your wrist unless they are water resistant. My question isn't about the performance series, but for the regular Hirsh calfskin straps.

Like their range and their styles are attractive, but not convinced about their quality. Purchased one of their lizard straps at just over £60.00 last year, and it fell apart after very little wrist time. Every brand makes the odd duffer, of course, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after that experience you can understand why I'm a bit skeptical.

The contrast stitching on the liberty strap is overdone: too thick and sewn too far inward. Total fail. They need to remake this strap with better stitching.
