I figured you have considered this but do you think you may add a ZOOM session to run along with the regular session for those who cannot travel to New York? Of course, you could limit the amount of ZOOM attendees and charge for the sessions. The chats would allow those attending by zoom to kind of meet other artist. It would not be as good as being there in person, but would still allow those to attend by ZOOM to feel the vibe.
@slewp11 ай бұрын
A few other people have asked about this. It is a cool idea in theory but in practice it will be hard and not great i think. The sessions are open with no instruction so people are all doing their own thing. There would no be much for the people on zoom to see other than just the model posing. Unfortunately it doesn't seem worth all the set up and work to stream/zoom it. I think there will be other opportunities for zoom sessions or live streams for workshops and other things but for now its just in person. Thanks for the comment :)

In experience hybrid sessions don’t work, you feel an after thought. Dedicated zoom only works better for life drawing, although of course you can’t beat in person with being able to walk around the model 365 degrees and choose a spot :)
@alsanova11 ай бұрын
Zoom won't work on this type of event. It's best to attend in person to get full experience and vibe of the session. Also it will be pain to manage Zoom when there's large group already to host in person.

gotta love the new setup and all the SAWDUST that comes with it, your figuree drawing classes are such an incredible resource for those who live in NYC, sadly I am many many hundreds of miles away from this and will likely never have the opportunity to take a class but who knows, maybe you could make a chain art studio one day

The taboret should be set down on all 4 legs and under the front of the easel for the artist to paint from, but I see that for your purposes, space is limited so you have to put them the way you are. Studio Slew is very cool!

I love the one off life drawing here lots of which are non profit. Most other are a 12 week £120 commitment, rather pay slightly more for a one off. The painting set up is wonderful, most don’t have the space and you’re sat just about fitting with sketchbook balanced on lap, which is fun for non serious drawings but if want to focus fully need space to step back and paint . So to have proper paint set up that isn’t at university is rare. Would love to visit, was last in New York in 2007, though be tough to leave dog behind and money tk get there but if ever find myself around NYC would pop by :) uk artist 🇬🇧
