I regress due to trauma just like a lot of other people, the people who get off on this make me genuinely uncomfortable, when I am regressed I am literally in the mental state of a baby/toddler and I have had people try to sexualize me in that state. She is engaging in ageplay and people often confuse it for age regression, which is a therapist advised way to deal with childhood trauma. Basically age regressors are more at-peace and worry-free whilst in "little space" (A term for when one is in said mindset). Some people who age regress simply need breaks from the stress of being old and often have a childish personality even outside of regression (Though sometimes it's not as obvious). Contrary to popular belief, age regression is NOT a kink or even related to s3xual intercourse whatsoever. Some age regressors refer to themselves as littles and to their significant other as "Daddy", "Mommy", or just as their "Caregiver" Since they'd typically take care of their "Little" as if they're an actual child.

Especially when it’s between a girl who’s only been legal for 2 years, and a man in his thirties. It brings the question of how long they’ve been doing this for? Im an age regressor, which is very different from DDLG. I have very little control over my regression because its a trauma response, and it can vary from like "happy trigger" to "full blown PTSD flashback trigger" and I never fully know what Im gonna get. I have hella childhood trauma and this is just one of the ways my brain has decided to process it. I usually go non-verbal when I've regressed, and it can even go as far as losing control of body functions (like, Im HIGHLY prone to loss of bladder control if ive regressed really far). Regression is an odd thing. And it isnt always cute and aesthetic. My Husband has had to calm me down from flashbacks where I locked myself in a room or closet and shrieked for hours, terrified someone was going to come and take me. I almost got hit by a car walking in the road once because I was regressed and unaware. Oh man the amount of kitchen accidents I've had. One time I freaking peed myself in the middle of Walmart and it was HORRIBLE. Like occasionally theres cute silly play time and giggles. But its not very often for me.

As an age regressor of many years here’s my take. To me it seems that Max may be an age regressor and not see it as sexual. I know that she said that it’s “ddlg” or “kink related” but right after she said that she is purely non sexual. It’s easy to get the terms mixed up but ddlg is pretty much strictly sexual, whereas agere is the opposite. As for Johnny im not really sure. He gives off strange vibes and seems to see it in a different way than she does. As i said, i age regress. It is a childhood trauma response and sometimes happens without warning where it is hard to think in my regular mindset. I personally don’t experience it every day but when i am it can be difficult. I have a girlfriend who will sometimes entertain me or comfort me when i am age regressed or impure/trauma regressed (a form of involuntary regression that enhances rather than eases anxiety) yet we don’t really have a caregiver/little relationship. Everyone’s experience is different. This may sound controversial but a **NON-SEXUAL** parent/little dynamic paired with someone going through age-regression can be a healthy thing. Age-regression can sometimes be a stress reliever (of course not for everyone since it can be involuntary) and having a caregiver in this scenario sounds good if the person does go to this state of mind. I guess what I’m saying is that being a caregiver when someone age regresses can be vital to help them cope appropriately and safely. BDSM (as weird as this may sound) can have great benefits mentally, especially if it’s strictly used to help mitigate stress, anxiety, or trauma, and as long as it is not mixed sexually at all.

Me and my partner both regress as a coping mechanism and just as a bonding thing sometimes. It’s definitely not a sexual thing for us and when it’s done we can just stop thinking about it so it doesn’t interfere with the rest of our relationship. For me growing up in a traditional Chinese household parental love has always been conditional and my sexuality means it comes with a lot of shame. I have to overachieve in every aspect of my life to make up for it so the regression thing is my way of experiencing unconditional love and a sense of peace/innocence. My partner grew up in poverty with parents that couldn’t take care of themselves let alone their kids and would do substances in front of them when they were a toddler, so regression for them is being taken care of the way their parents failed to. Sorry for the rant, just hoping to shed some light on why some couples do this cause honestly it is pretty weird and I couldn’t imagine doing this in public.

You’re actually better reaction wise than most. I have a friend who’s a little (not this kind of little) and it functions different from person to person. Essentially they go into the little space, in which they do technically have the body and brain of their biological age, but the regress back to an age that feels safe or when they were cared for. Many littles outside of DDLG develops the little space due to trauma or stress, and in those cases they really can’t control it and often have no memory of when they were the little. The friend of mine I mentioned has a little with a completely different gender and their is no memory cross over from her to him. Another type of little is an alter in DID or PDID, which comes from feeling like you didn’t have a childhood, or experiencing a trauma at that age. In this situation she has chosen to be a little for whatever reason, it’s not anyone’s place to ask, and she chooses when she regresses. So she regresses to only really have the mental capacity of a five year old, she’s not acting necessarily, although that may be the easiest comparison since clearly she does remember what happens when she’s a little. The Dom part also usually references the nature of punishment for breaking a rule (which is the BDSM part of it). But yes, you can make jokes and poke fun as long as you don’t genuinely think there’s anything wrong with it.

I do trauma-related age regression alone. I’m over that woman’s age. Ive gone through thumb-sucking, reading Dr Suess, playing with toddler toys in my 20s. Recently, it’s learning how to play with 18” dolls. I’m still a little clueless about what to do. I’m wanting a teddy bear. I don’t talk out loud like she does. I guess it’s a different way. I’m embarrassed about it, I guess, but it seems to help get over some old feelings of wanting to want to try things I found out that other people did. I was neglected and didn’t learn to play.

To explain the no crossover: i had a friend who had a little space life style due to heavy childhood trauma and the way it stayed seperate is that she kept ALL THINGS little away from sex. She had her own room for little space full of toys, books, pacis, ect. And it was usually kept locked while the main bedroom was left alone and like the standard stuff for a bedroom. They never did anything when she was in little space (i knew a friend who was the opposite and did sexualize their little space and due to comfort issues i left them on read 4 years ago but thats not important just to show that like its a spectrum) and when she was a little theyd usually wait a few days to be sure that she didnt want/feel the need to back to little space before they did anything. If that makes any sense? Im bad at words but thats how my buddy explained it to me
