He has some great songs from the early 70's. He also had written the song, "My Way" for Sinatra, also, "She's A Lady" for Tom Jones. He has always been a very talented artist. Some of the 70's hits were, " (I Believe) There's Nothing Stronger Than Our Love." "Times of Your Life." You're Having My Baby." Many, many others.

Originally My Way was written by Jacques Revaux with lyrics by Gilles Thibaut and Claude François and first performed in 1967 by Claude François. You can hear the original My Way on KZbin in French with English subtitles - Anka’s English lyrics are not a translation of the original song version - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ_FooCBqJmEhJIsi=-uIo7Yhih5Mi89m6

Thanks for this reaction. Don’t know if you have done any Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons. But either way, reactions to them are overdue. “Walk Like a Man”, “Ronnie” (my dear departed sister, Ronnie, loved that song so much, as she was a teen fan of that 60’s rock and roll and was waiting for someone to do a song with her name), “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Sherry Baby”, and so many more. Clint Eastwood directed movie, JERSEY BOYS (based on the stage musical, based on the story of The Four Seasons), is also a movie you might like reacting to.

If you haven't introduced your girls to the post-war musicals (Singing in the Rain, South Pacific, and Oklahoma!) I really hope you will. Another older song that you might like, though not Paul Anka, is “Greensleeves” by The Brothers Four. The black & white version, though really old, is great. It’s live at a college and shows the audience really engrossed in the song. I don’t think you’ve done any of the groups songs before either. Also, Greensleeves is the nickname of Mary, Queen of Scots. She was the Queen of Scotland along long time ago and was put to death by her own cousin, the Queen of England, because the Queen thought she was going to try and take over her throne. It turned out to be untrue.
