I don't believe you have to use it if you don't want to. But they provide it because it is ultra thin to help give your TV that picture frame look

Hey so just a productive cirtique here: Put timestamps for the different things you talk about, and not specifically mentioning the SUPER obvious comparison of this vs a Samsung Frame is a huge omission and you should learn to anticipate these obvious questions that your viewers are going to have

It's significantly cheaper than the Frame, which you're paying more for the Samsung name. there's no annoying One Connect box like with Samsung. GOOGLE TV operating system which is alot smoother and better integrated than Tizen. It actually comes WITH the Frames. Samsung doesn't even give you a frame in the box.

@aasuncion30 Well depending on your specific situation, if you're hanging the Frame above your fireplace, you have to figure out where to place that box since it doesn't sit behind the TV. Some people have a hard time finding where to put it, especially if mounting it. You don't want cords leading down to a box to be distracting.

@@aasuncion30 i would also check out the new TCL NXTFRAME. Your local Best Buy should hopefully have it on display. If you live in a big city, I would recommend trying to find the flagship Best Buy store as they typically have ALL the demo displays. If you're looking for the Hisense Canvas TV, it can be found on the Google TV demo wall.

How do you exit a picture collection in art mode to change to a different one?

Can you change the colors of the matt. Can you specify a custom size for the Matt?

I came across a new review (two days fresh as of Monday Dec 2nd 2024) that stated a major issue it’s having in streaming 4K resolution through onboard applications like Netflix for example. Stated inputs like an Xbox or firestick were fine but that’s a pretty big deal. Any issues with that?

Thanks for sharing this. I really think this is a great Idea but its definitely mixed feelings in what way I would go. I guess if you have a certain area in home or office for such a thing. but as my primary format of entertainment, I would use something else.
