Speaking as someone of Native American heritage, (Choctaw & Cherokee)...I am BEYOND tired & irritated w/ the disrespectful overuse & misinformation about "Skinwalkers" & "Sacred Burial Grounds". "Skinwalkers" solely belong to NAVAJO & UTE Lore! The Stanley Hotel has now put limits in place with regard to filming because 2 paranormal teams got into a fight! These teams are ruining it for REAL investigators! We went to the Beck House, an airBNB in Penetanguishene ON. After seeing OTHER teams video, I was excited! Out of respect, I asked the owner, Brenda, if we could tour the basement and set up an investigation. She said that part of the house was her "personal space". I then alerted her to what we saw and she was quite upset that her personal space had been invaded. We stuck to the areas she owed and got some experiences, but nothing over the top. These fakers really hurt those of us doing it for real.

Those actually weren’t paranormal teams. One was Brent Rivera who makes Mr Beast style content but is known to use his own sister as clickbait and has been shown to plagiarize other KZbinrs. The other is Tyler Oliveira who used to be a joke channel but now makes documentaries. They ran into each other in the hotel and Tyler asked Brent a question, which caused Brent to start insulting him, and then they ran into each other a couple more times and Brent kept talking crap about Tyler so Tyler said some stuff back, then Brent call security and got Tyler kicked out even though he did nothing wrong. Then when the videos came out there was backlash against Brent for being a jerk, and the hotel for kicking Tyler out. Which caused them to get a lot of flak and is why they now don’t allow KZbinrs to film anymore.

Sam and Colby was the reason I nearly lost the Ancient Ram Inn as when they released their KZbin Video the owner Caroline rung me to ask what the Global Ghost Hunt was, She then asked about the people going and I had to send her all our channel links eventually she agreed that we would be doing no harm and that with you present there would be no risk of any fake stuff happening. Sam and Colby also rented a church and went Glamping at St Andrews Church in Shropshire and again when we asked about going there it was pointed out that they did not have permission to do any of what they did there and the fact they lied about the Teeth on the graves so now anyone from the paranormal field are not allowed to stay at the church. I feel these youtubers along with the others make it really difficult for the rest of us to secure locations without paying stupid amounts of money. Prime Example in Brighton Preston Manor put their prices up from £300 a night to £2500 a night because of Most Haunted how the hell can small channels afford that. anyway well done another great video hope your feeling a bit better now. I’ve investigated Octagon Hall twice. Haunted? Yes. Demonic? Absolutely not. It’s one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been to and the history is so fascinating. Unfortunately I’ve been involved in conversations with some people that pointed out they use these key words to gain clicks. It’s really sad that true investigators get the shaft because they refuse to follow this trend.

GREAT video Beardo and love what you stand for and couldn't agree more with you in regards to these fake channels are stealing away subs from the real channels. I've been saying this for a while now. These owners here in the state need to either stop allowing these fake channels visit their locations, which some are already doing this, or these owners need to start reviewing their videos before they are allowed to publish any video. There are a few owners that are reviewing videos as well. Then on the flip side you have some location owners are jumping on the band wagon and going out of their way to push these fake channels. I've investigated the Ocatgon hall and it's a beautiful museum but definitely no demon or even a negative entity.. My wife and I were there by ourselves and I even left my wife alone for an hour and she never felt threatened and we didn't get much activity there at all.

We were at Octagan Hall in August, a beautiful place. The owner stated that there wasn't a Demon there in case we were concerned, due to other episodes made. The history is fascinating enough without adding shit.

Cracking video mucka. I used to conduct regular investigations at a National Trust property and it was pretty lucrative for them. I can see why 'dark tourism' is so popular. However, if I owned a property that was alleged to be haunted and groups were banging on my door wanting to investigate, I would have an air tight contract to protect my asset. Maybe businesses should get groups to sign legal documentation that includes caveats of terminology NOT to be used in the eventual videos etc. Maybe even go a step further that includes a donation of revenue gained to go back into the upkeep of the property. That would turn the tables on the fear of being sued and give more control to the locations opposed to the goons who make their videos.

I’m so glad I just stumbled upon this video though not for the reasons they you might think. One of my biggest gripes with KZbin ghost hunters is the way they’ll oftentimes ignore the actual history of the location just to further a narrative of their own or pretend like the commonly known ghost story isn’t full of bullshit. I grew up in the Bay Area and the promotion of the Winchester House is particularly egregious with this in terms of the ghost story vs the actual history. Though that may be a bad example considering that location obviously turns quite a profit but it’s always bothered me that people consistently conflate the stories instead of just being honest and claiming one is historical and one is a legend. Even the tours don’t do that as much as ghost hunters and any previous employee will openly tell you the famous aspects of the ghost story are absolutely false. The Bell Witch is another location that comes to mind where people blatantly ignore the fact that much of the well-known ghost story is probably completely made up by some random dude who wrote a book. Sam and Colby seem to genuinely believe Andrew Jackson actually visited the place all those years ago and use that as a proof of a genuine witness even though that fact is never mentioned anywhere else and I believe, historically, he’s in a completely different location at the time. I had no idea the paranormal exaggerations of ghost hunters could actually harm tourist interest of places sometimes which breaks my heart because I love history and I’m hugely in favor of preserving even the smallest place for historical purposes. I’m beginning to understand way everybody seems to enjoy Shane and Ryan not only in the sense that they’re one of the only KZbin ghost hunters both believers and not seem to agree are not faking anything which is already hugely amazing when it comes to KZbin ghost hunting but they’ve always appeared extremely respectful of the locations they go to, they don’t overreact to every little light flicker or knock, they openly laugh at some of the supernatural/paranormal ideas people have conjured up over the years for simply being absurd, they never claim to have caught anything even when they might have cause there’s no way to prove it’s supernatural, and Shane’s inclusion absolutely tones down the horrors these other wack KZbin ghost hunters claim happens in the most hysterical ways possible cause usually literally nothing happens in their videos and naive people try to claim it’s because Shane is too aggressive of a non-believer that the spirits don’t want to do their thing for him…which has never made a lick of sense to me. Shane and Ryan’s visit to the Conjuring House vs Sam and Colby’s is like night and day. It’s honestly one of Buzzfeed Unsolved’s most boring episodes which is so ironic considering the series Sam and Colby are currently releasing on the place obviously being fake as hell and completely dishonest cause they’re claiming to have made history with the evidence and people are blindly believing it. That might actually be scarier than anything they claim to have captured on camera over the years.

I was a 'satanist' for a few decades, and not once did I summon demon. I say 'satanist' because I only worshiped the 'idea' of satan because I was abused by the Catholic Church. Yes I lit candles and prayed and spoke as if 'it' was there all time. I felt evil energy, but maybe I did that. I did scare a few friends in my life, who told me my eyes changed. This happened a few times over 10 years with different friends who didn't know each other. But I never summoned a demon. I swear it's just energy from within... and maybe it's that same primal energy that would cause someone to commit crime, if you know what I mean. The phrase of being dead inside. I never summoned a demon. They don't exist. The human mind is a powerful tool. However, it is possible to talk to those who have transitioned over, it takes years of practice, meditation and not being into society norm of religion, labels and whats new in style/hype/trend. It could also help if you died once and I did die when I was little. I know what I can do and what I've done for people over the years with readings (and they are not wishy washy bullshit romance/money crap). I don't make a profession out of my 'gift' because I have CPTSD. So thank you for being the voice of calling out the bullshit. You, The Shape, Parrple etc. Thank you.

Glad to find a real one out here, I've watched all these channels and watching all these channels were a big part of my time on KZbin for a couple of years until you start catching all the bs and then I started filtering out all the crap and realized something I use to take a lot of interest in I no longer want to waste my time. But now I found a new channel to enjoy even though you also come down on a few channels I still do like but I've also caught nonsense on their channel but them questioning their fellow youtubers or just question everything that happens. One thing I use to love about exploring with Josh and Omar is they were those guys they questioned a lot of stuff for a long time but then they aligned with the fakest channels so I just don't watch as much.

Hey Beardo, I am so friggin glad I came across your channel. I’ve recently started doing paranormal investigations myself at the ripe old age of 52 😅 and I thought I must be that boring that “demons” and “the devil” etc etc never affect me when I’ve been to haunted locations but apparently after watching other KZbin channels….the ones you have caught out faking things etc, I would watch and think not only do they all over act to the point they look stupid but everything is a click bait having “demon” in their intro. They definitely pray on the vulnerable and young minds for likes, subscriptions and most of all … money let alone the damage to those historic places they are causing the owners and their reputation. This will ruin it for the genuine PI’s unfortunately. I just watched “exploring with josh” when he visited Robert the Doll. It was absolutely beyond ridiculous. I've been watching ghost hunting videos for a while now. I've watched Twin Paranormal and really enjoyed their videos but I started to notice that their videos all seemed the same, Demon scratched me etc.... the only ones I've watched of theirs recently is the ones that don't have demon in the title. I'm sad to see Sam and Colby in here though. I've watched a lot of their videos and they seem genuine to me, I only started to question them a bit when the posted the last part of their week at the conjuring house, Sam went into the basement alone and he was acting scared but it really didn't seem genuine. I like to keep an open mind about this stuff but if they are faking all of their videos then I'll be really disappointed cos I honestly thought they were genuine, including some of the people they do the videos with like KallmeKris and celinaspookyboo

Honestly, I think it would make more tedious cause of how many times they'd have to stop, stage something, and rinse and repeat for 6-7 hours (Probably only about 3 hours tops to be totally honest) or so. Just saw the video and had to comment. Especially about the part about people being hesitant to call out the offending channels. I can see why Joe wouldn't do that since some of those people love to abuse the copyright system here. If I were the building owners though, I would name and shame and here's why. I don't know if this is different in the UK but in the US, business owners are allowed by federal law to bar anyone from their business for any reason other than race, sexual preference, or gender. Which means if I'm that guy Bear, I'm saying "Twin Paranormal is banned from our hotel". And Joe can ask them why and the answer is easy. "Twin Paranormal did not act in good faith with us during our business transaction and we feel they did not put our business in the best possible light". Simple, done and legal. The Twins can get all huffy and puffy and send the little children after them on social media but at the end of the day, they'll still be banned and once you start banning these groups you're going to see that demonic crap drop down really fast because these owners talk to each other and as you plainly pointed out, it doesn't take a deep dive to found out which groups love to interact with demons and label places as demonic. These groups are predatory. They feed off of the paranormal community and contribute nothing back but spite and venom. These building owners and the community need to start shuffling these groups to the side, out of the way.

Back in the day when I started watching paranormal shows like Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, etc, they visited historic homes, museums etc. The cynical side of me started to think that these Museums or historic sites were in agreement with the investigators to show that they had a friendly ghost or 2, just to build more interest in the place that could use a bump in paying visitors to the Museum. Okay, I thought, that is a noble cause to help out an underfunded historic location get some paying visitors. BUT, when you start talking about Demons or people being attacked by a demon....that is damaging to income.

I think this is such an important topic because these people go to places and say they were attacked by a demon or that there is evil there. They aren't even trying to think of the effect it can have on the people who own these buildings. in fact, when the owner of the hospital talked out about it, I think it was exploring with Josh (I'm not 100% on which one of them it was) who commented back and it was obvious he didn't care what effect it was having on the owner of the hospital. I'm glad this is now being talked about and brought to people's attention 💟

Every video they publish should have the disclaimer at the beginning of the video that it is for entertainment purposes only. Some people are crazy enough and impressionable - they need to be aware of what is fake and what is real. Impacting businesses reputations and livelihoods negatively is not ok. They need to be made accountable. I really enjoy your channel.

I believe that historical sites should conduct their own 'investigation' into whomever contacts them. They could look up the material of a team, and make an informed decision on whether to allow entry for nighttime investigations. This would NOT backfire on the owner of these sites. I think the public and community would respect them for it: "Thank you for your interest to investigate our historical ___ __Hall; however, upon review of your previous material,...." In the beginning, it might tic off these fakers, but the owners ultimately know what's best for their premises. Harriman hospital had a list that was blatantly ignored by a team; the owner could do something about that legally, if he has lost business. These asinine teams; it all comes down to respect and maturity, which they are totally lacking in both. This was a great video!👍💖

Nice work. Having a good relationship with people who own locations or staff at locations is awesome. Most location owners do care about their location and what is put out there. Yes there are some location owners who just don’t care. There are a lot of paranormal investigators out there that purposely avoid places that may have demonic entities in them. A few locations have field trips for students to learn about history. If a teacher or parent catches wind that KZbinrs are claiming demons where their child is going to learn, They’re going to make a fuss about it. It would then be likely that the trip will either be canceled and or suspend all future educational field trips to that location. A lot of locations are in what we call the Bible Belt. Mention the word ghost. The majority of people will say there are no ghost. It’s demons, pretending to be ghosts. It can make it challenging for people to find a location that is more could be haunted, especially a historic building. It’s not always just as easy to go to a realtor and buy it and that’s that. If a city or town who is the building and it’s up for sale, city officials, or town officials, want to know what will happen to that building. They ultimately decide who buys the building. There are so many more aspects to this topic then it would take hours to talk about. With all the legit investigators out there, business owners, and their staff, debunking channels is not going to change a thing. So long as those channels are going out there, putting out that information, not even investigating correctly, and all the other crap that they do, Unfortunately it will continue. At the end of the day, the majority of those KZbinrs do not care about reputation of locations, and those who owned them or volunteer their time there at the end of the day, it’s about numbers. The views, the subscriber count, and how much money they are making. So long as they make a lot of money, they’re going to continue to do it with no shifts given.

Hey Joe. Maybe we can petition KZbin to crack down on these channels. They do have something in their KZbin TOS about misleading info and all that. Using Demons a lot at historic places is actually going against that community guideline of being misleading info. Several channels already had to content not making the KZbinr any money, but several of their videos got removed by KZbin for being misleading.
