RDR2 is (perhaps intentionally) vague about the geography of its alternate universe vis-a-vis the real life USA. New Austin is obviously supposed to be a stand-in for Texas, but Texas itself is mentioned in-universe as well, for instance.

@XxxTHAT GRUxxx Yes, but down the road, not in the beginning. Each ability card is $50, +$250 for first upgrade, +$500 for second upgrade. Every weapon (w exception of the carbine repeater, cattleman, and for those of us w the ultimate edition the volcanic, varmint, and pump-action) all have to be purchased at inflated rates from story mode. It would be really helpful if we could at least sell our horses, and the ability to break wild horses and sell them. The inability in RDO makes literally zero sense. They could make it so player owned horses can only be sold by the owner and not griefers if that's what the excuse is. Bring in the stagecoach fence so we can make a bit off stagecoaches we find in the world. How many ppl, back then and now, just discard horses? In the beginning when ur bldg up ur character, grinding out the roles, and upgrading horses as u go, there is no reason other than forcing u to purchase gold bars, or spend countless hrs grinding for gold at around 0.3 gold bars, or less, each time, and grinding for cash. This was all far worse before the roles came out bc the only way to earn money and gold was free-roam events, fishing & hunting then selling the carcasses, and doing stranger missions that don't pay much in retrospect when u look at the cost of things in-game. Thankfully I have the Ultimate Edition, and didn't start playing online until this past February, after all 4 roles were out. I've also linked our Amazon Prime account to get those bonuses, and I did have the Outlaw Pass 2. I can't figure out why OP3 isn't out. It wouldn't take much on R*s end, but would give players something to play for.

Thanks Alex. Yeah man, it kills me to pull down videos with 20k views, but at this stage I'm at a loss trying to pinpoint what the problem is. I had a guy on Reddit that looked through the vids and suggested that the firearm video was triggering some sort of red flag with the reviewing bot, even though it wasn't violating anything. So I pulled it, resubmitted the channel for approval, but was still denied. So now I suppose I'll repost it. Just a shame. I'd happily tackle all sorts of games- particularly those on pirates, as it's one of the areas of history in which I'm most qualified. I used to teach a college course called 'The Golden Age of Piracy' about all the famous pirates of the early 18th century. Loved it. Appreciate the suggestions, and the support Alex. All I can think up is that they want people spend time playing. If everything was historically accurate priced then it would take one or two 4h sittings to get every in-game item. The cash you get from missions(regular Stranger missions) is near accurate what the pay would have been back in the day. I could obviously be wrong.
@RaizanMedia3 жыл бұрын
While your logic is viable, and I would love it for that to be the real reason, the truth is that it's to promote the use of buying currency with real money. They want you to find the grind very boring here and there so you spend some bucks along the way. They nerfed a ton of paying missions for this purpose and inflated the hell out of many things

So what you're telling us is that RockStar researches _everything_ in their games _except_ for the prices of what their NPCs sell to you. Understandable since it was developed in San Diego. Everything in that state's over-taxed and regulated beyond all common sensibilities. These probably seemed like 'good prices' to them. =)
@TheHeavyshadow4 жыл бұрын
My best guess as to why Google doesn't like your videos: You're talking, among other things, about guns. At the height of the "Adpocalypse" videos were demonetised for mentioning the word "weapon". KZbin is more lenient with it's bigger channels now, but I guess they want to be sure with the smaller ones like yours. It could also be talking about violent themes in general, like hunting or wars. But I'm not sure about that.
@ManvsHistory4 жыл бұрын
Hello old friend! Yeah, that's why I pulled the firearm video, thinking that must be the issue. But no luck. I'm now wondering if it's the Buffalo video, as I talk about firearms, hunting, etc.?
@TheHeavyshadow4 жыл бұрын
@@ManvsHistory Probably that, as it has some graphic descriptions and "hunting" in the title. Or maybe some older video, like the one about Napoleon's retreat, or others with "pirate" in the title, where maybe KZbin's overprotective measures thought of it as "to pirate" and flagged that because a lot of piracy-tutorials would probably have "How to pirate X" in the title. Or (and again, not an expert or anything, so I don't know whether that actually happen anymore): maybe your channel as a whole has been flagged as being unsuitable. I can't remember which one, but I think one German KZbinr had that problem where he could upload anything with any title and it would be demonetised instantly until it was reviewed manually.
@ManvsHistory4 жыл бұрын
@@TheHeavyshadow Those are solid ideas. I deleted most the older vids, but I can see the potential issues you're talking about. Perhaps the 'hunting' is flagging things. And the 'pirate' one as well.
