Lol ahahahahh, That quote didn't fit the man I agree. Smyslov was actually quite a sophisticated man, an Opera singer and a classy guy. So I'm sure he didn't say things like that maybe.

Tal was very very good when he was younger and when his health issues were not interfering with his chess performance. He was world champion by 1960. He was always awesome but I believe his health kept him from having even better results at the highest levels of competition.

Tal dismantled a former WC. In 58-60 he was doing that all the time. He could overwhelm the best players in the world. Including Bobby Fischer.
