I mean, my favorite rock albums of the 2010s are all by older artists (and you) - David Bowie’s Black Star - Paul McCartney’s Egypt Station and New - Weird Al’s Mandatory Fun and Alpocalypse - David Gilmour’s Rattle That Lock and Live at Pompeii - and of course your own One Last Stand and Elements (which probably takes my number one for the decade)

I think Black Star is the best album of 2016 and Egypt Station is the best album of 2018 imo. Idk what my favorite album of 2013 is, wether its Black Sabbath's 13, Paul McCartney's New, or Arctic Monkeys AM

MGMT's Congratulations is a must for 2010s rock. They split away from their more pop-oriented debut to psychedelic and even progressive rock, genuinely one my favorites of the decade that got only managed to get widespread recognition later on. Tame Impala's Lonerism, The War on Drugs's Lost in the Dream, Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool, and Pond's Man It Feels Like Space Again are also worth checking out. ... I swear I don't do drugs.

You should definitely talk about the 2010s Warped Tour scene. A lot of my generation (Gen Z) grew up on these bands thanks to the internet (which is a topic in itself). These bands are still popular today and have had an influence on modern 2020s rock (and a lot of TikTok kids grew up on them like myself and Gen Alpha are discovering a lot of rock because of it). These bands include: - Bring Me the Horizon - Falling in Reverse - Pierce the Veil - Black Veil Brides - Motionless in White - Sleeping with Sirens - Escape the Fate (who had a huge feud with Falling in Reverse in the scene in the early 2010s) As well as the non-Warped bands like: - The Pretty Reckless - Royal Blood - Cage the Elephant - BABYMETAL - Highly Suspect

There’s an obscure Canadian rock band called The Dudes that I think you should check out. They didn’t change rock history or anything but they’re a great band. They’ve been around for longer than just the 2010s but they have an album from 2017 called East Side Good Times Five. They’re worth a listen!

I'm not sure how much they qualify as a rock band, but out of curiosity, will you be covering Tally Hall? They're probably one of the more popular indie bands of the 2010s. Either way, looking forward to it!

Some popular modern bands that I hope get mentioned in this: Arctic Monkeys Paramore The 1975 LCD Soundsystem Arcade Fire Vampire Weekend MGMT The Strokes Radiohead Queens of the Stone Age Tame Impala Twenty One Pilots Car Seat Headrest King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Royal Blood Gorillaz Foo Fighters Post-punk bands like IDLES & black midi of the late 2010s TOOL’s comeback in 2019

I think you should also talk about Arctic Monkeys’ album AM. While it may not be their best album, it was a HUGE album when it came out and still is! I also think you should at least mention (even if it’s a terrible album) is Lulu by Metallica and Lou Reed. While yes it’s a terrible album, it was also the last album Lou Reed ever worked on, and the weirdness of the album could make way for some comedic points in there! Another one, even though it’s not really rock, an album you should at least mention for a second, is Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. Yes they’re not rock, but this album is actually all live instruments with live musicians and everything, and some songs even have a more rockin’ feel thanks to Omar Hakim’s phenomenal drumming on a few songs, and also the guitarists on the album. The reason I’d say to still at least give it a second or two of screen time is because while yes this is the history of ROCK, in many episodes, you’ve mentioned some notable and popular albums and songs from other genres, and I think this is worthy of it, because Random Access Memories was a massive album when it came out and is basically a love letter to music in general. Also one last thing, I think you should have a whole section for King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Idk if maybe that is the plan but I’d love for you to talk more in-depth about them because they are my favorite rock band of the 2010s. Regardless if you take these suggestions, I know I’m still gonna love the vid and am super excited to hear you talk about some of these albums. I hope you read this all the way through and have a great time filming!

Great, I will be participating! I know that you are not that much into (Neo) Prog Rock and it is nowadays very much a European/British thing. But have a look at the two great albums Steven Wilson published in the 2010s, Hand.Cannot.Erase and The Raven That Refused to Sing!

If you’re still looking for more suggestions, I would like to see bands like Dirty Honey, Rival Sons, Greta Van Fleet, Daily J, and Oracle Sisters. Yea I know those bands are more so in the later 2010s, but are still cool bands. At this point in history of Rock, it really does become the history of music in general, but I still think there are some decent bands around that time.
