Next time, keep the weights up longer on during the lifts. Maybe do both KG and LBS. I'm excited for more videos in the future >

Man i never knew you covered such an interesting topic in one of your videos i can only say im astonished by how straight to the point and excellently done your videos are and i would love to see a lengthy video on Log press history.

Thanks. I made this video and another about the history of Arm Wrestling (I know you've seen that one👍). Unfortunately these videos got very few views that meant I stopped making them due to the time it takes. I will have a look what I can do about the Log press history

Tom Magee was incredibly strong especially for being under 300 lbs

Like 285 I think I know he was 276 when he won in the super heavyweight class in IPF 1982

This is fast becoming my favorite lift. I've done 400kg on 20inch (used 12inch blocks now found out the height is 10inch). This was a few years ago at my biggest peak so far, but I'm working towards a new, higher peak so lets see what I can pull off as a 100kg athlete.

Hey Farncois, That's a great lift, best of luck with your progression

Yeah, the Silver Dollar Deadlift is a weird one because the equipment never stays the same. For example, I have a hard time comparing Kazmaier's lift to Magee's lift. The Silver Dollar Deadlift in 1983 just does not make any sense. The athletes (not just Magee but everyone) performed so incredibly much better in '83 than they should have based on what we know from earlier and later competitions. I would even go as far as to say that the weights were exaggerated.

Good video. could you put the record on the same screen as the athlete stats?

Thanks Cody, yes can certainly add the info in later videos. I have provided a spreadsheet of all the lifts at the end of the video.

Thanks eldar. I had to make them private because KZbin would not allow my Channel in the KZbin Partner program as it does not consider them to be "original content". I will be remaking those videos in a slightly different format......probably with voice over.

WUS needs to get Novakov and that other dude to duke it out on the same equipment.

Hi and thanks for your comment. Yes I agree. I think Anthony, Oleskii and Adam Bishop should have a go, problem is Anthony Pernice is still am Amateur Strongman so he wouldn't be eligible to compete for WUS

Why didn't you include JF Caron from the Shaw Classic?

The Hummer tire deadlift is classified as a different lift and as confirmed by Magnus Ver Magnusson the height of the bar is lower than 18" but not as low as a conventional deadlift which would put it at about 14"

I would like to see this event standardized with a stiff bar with near zero bend. Possibly with extra bracing to keep things tight. Otherwise you'll have a 5'5" athlete pulling with figure 8 straps at full lockout and the weights will still be touching the floor. I dream of a pure DEAD lift!

If it makes you happy, you can call it a block lift.
