I much prefer the Androids saga over the Cell saga portion of the arc. The plot of the arc with its time travel explanation made perfect sense until Cell's ridiculoud time paradox nonsense! Cell claims he came from a timeline where the androids wrecked the future AND where Trunks went back in time to kill Freiza. Only one of these can be true.

Also I find it funny that 17 always said he was the “ultimate/strongest android.” Then he kinda had the wind taken out of him when cell came around and 16 was revealed to be stronger. However, everything kinda came back around full circle and now 17 is basically the only one to rival goku. I LOVE that they brought him back. I was disappointed after the cell saga when he was shelved for awhile. But they brought him back and made him bad ass

I was always amazed with the idea in DB and DBZ that scientists like Dr Gero and Bulma we're able to not only create androids but then create androids whom were even more powerful than super Saiyans.

Bulma invented a time machine that was capable of backwards time travel and her father invented a way to compress large matter (cars, fully equipped and furnished houses, etc) into portable devices the size of a pill - without any ill effects lol. To be honest, genius scientists figuring out a way to create strong fighters based on observation and using their data/cells is more buyable than the ass-pull explanations of new mystical villains appearing out of the blue (like Majin Buu and Beerus) that's stronger than the last one, because the plot demands it. It worked up until the Frieza arc, Frieza was supposed to be the strongest being in the universe. It's a problem that plagues DBZ/DB Super more than the original DB, as in that, there was no emphasis on power levels (Goku was fighting strong people and villains on Earth) and no one had the power to obliterate the world at the touch of their fingers.

The android saga blew my tiny mind as a young boy. First realizing Frieza is back, there's another saiyan, the fact that he's also a SSJ, about the androids and Trunks' timeline, that they aren't the same androids Trunks was referring to, that the new ones are stronger, and that the newest villain, Cell, was potentially going to be the strongest. Oh, and Vegeta in a shower and wearing a pink shirt lol

Interestingly enough, 17 and 18 couldn’t sense power levels, but could read other things. For example when vegetas attack missed, 18 said something like he was off by 2 degrees. This combined with their eternal energy cores really make them fascinating. They were always my favorite characters tbh. I wonder if gero just hadn’t completed their energy sensing function.

It would have made more sense to me if Goku had killed Gero's son (who we knew was a RR soldier at some point) that served as the prototype for #16. Goku was very trigger-happy during his younger years and murdered all those soldiers from the RRA in cold blood, so it would have made more sense than Gero being so hellbent on revenge if all Goku did was destroy the RRA base without him around.

Just finished watching the entire video and I enjoyed this video yes androids while being the most fascinating characters to come out of Dragon ball weren't so much celebrated but in the recent media including the video game fighter Z and Superhero, the movie has not only expanded upon the androids involvement in the story but also makes them so much more popular. In both dubs, and I'm pretty sure in the sub, (it's been a while since I've seen the show), but Android 17 scan Android 16 in the pod before they released him, and Android 17 said that he was stronger than Android 16 because of the data or something like that, but when Android 16 fought Cell it was shown that he was stronger than everyone at that time. So it always had me thinking, if there were a few bugs, or a defect on 17's design, or something like that.

Hope Toriyama makes #17 and #18 train. With the debut of Hedo in the Capsule Corporation the androids can ask him to modify them to be stronger. Bulma already possess the project of the androids, like we saw during the Cell arc, so Hedo can study the projects and make #17 and #18 stronger. Android Saga was just an ok saga, but with a lot of contradictions (Boo Saga is worst.) 17, 18, and Cell CAN'T be androids because an android is a FULL mechanical robot with human flesh on the outside (16, 19, 20, and the terminator.) A CYBORG is a human with robotic parts (17, and 18.) Cell is a humanoid insect. He is FULLY organic and since when are robots organic insects that can become larva and cicadas?.........That's what I thought🤓

In my honest opinion I believe the Android Saga and the cell Saga were the peak of Dragon Ball Z instead of the Majin Buu saga. I'm not saying that as a bad thing I'm just saying that in terms of peakness that the Android and cell saga that were the ones that push Goku and the others to new levels of power before the other events. that's cool, i never heard that theory before, about the trunks that came back to help fight the androids wasn't the same one that beat frieza. i did think that the future trunks from super isn't the same one from z though. maybe every version of trunks that goes back to the past is a different trunks, even the ones from the android 13 and broly movies. lol even though it's my favorite saga in gt i never understood the 17 stuff until now. i didn't know the artficial one brainwashed the other one. then again as a kid i never knew 17 showed up when goku beat buu either because america cut that part out on tv because he had a gun, so i was confused about how there were 2 17s in the 1st place until i grew up and heard about the scene. actually back then i thought the one in hell was the original because he died in cell and because he was bad he didn't get wished back. a theory i heard about 16 was that gero programmed him to be peaceful and passive because he didn't want him to get hurt like his son did.

Theory for 16 personality, it wasnt a random glitch, but he probably already had a paranoia of his machines turning on him. So he programed 16 to not be able to harm gero but it made him to docile. And his next step ended with 17 kicking his head off lol

I was never a fan of the androids. I don't understand how some Dr. Can make entities that can beat out a super sayain in power easily, which makes them world power and in most cases universal power. Just man made, no need for training just kicking butt right out of the box. Seems super cheap and unearned.

Trunks question: Can we confirm that each Trunks are the same? Trunks went back in time and changed the timeline, creating the branch from the original that is now the timeline we know. Wouldn't there technically be a timeline change again when he came back 3 years later? Him time traveling a 2nd time must've changed A LOT. He trained with Vegeta, relayed Cells' "Cell game" message when Cell didn't kill him after knocking out Vegeta, bonded with Vegeta and influenced his personality, and died to Cell. Technically, wouldn't the new "Original timeline" be one where he doesn't come back a 2nd time? Him coming back changed and branched the timeline again... Why wouldn't Trunks go to that new timeline instead of the same one he kept visiting? We know the two timelines aren't like locked into just the 2 timelines because the Cell they fought came from a third timeline separate from the first two timelines. Two different people (Future Trunks & Future Cell) from two different timelines came back to the same timeline. So that means one of two things: 1) Every single person who goes back in time specifically goes back to one specific timeline. OR 2) Either Trunks or Z fighters are different versions before and after the 3 year timeskip where they trained for the androids before Trunks' 2nd arrival. If Trunks went back in time a 2nd time and its the same exact Trunks, how did a Cell who came from a 3rd timeline where Trunks didnt even fight the andoids (because he convinced Bulma to give him a remote instead, so he didnt train with Vegeta and lost his time machine to Imperfect Cell) also go to the same timeline where there was a Trunks who trained with Vegeta and was strong enough to kill his future's androids and Imperfect Cell before Future Cell even made an appearance in the timeline we know? If the Cell that stole Trunks time machine went back in time, wouldn't he have to go back to the past of his own timeline where a Trunks didnt return to the past because he would've killed that Trunks before he got a chance to go back a 2nd time?

Dragonball isn't that deep lol. The Future trunks that appears in the main storyline in Z and super are all the same Future Trunks. There's really no need to dig any deeper then that

Gotta do a video on black frieza Even though we know basically nothing about him yet, not even the planet where the time chamber was that he trained on. I'd still love to see a video about how strong he might be. I know everyone thinks he one shotted goku and vegeta in their ultimate forms but both of them were worn out pretty good before he showed up. I still think that it would seem both goku and vegeta would have trouble with him even fighting together. If he really trained for 10 years he could be actually leaps and bounds above any other character that's a mortal now. Maybe beast gohan is stronger but it seems that timeline happened right before the granolah arc. And gas wished to be the strongest in the universe. At that time gas was the strongest mortal in the universe. If beast gohan was already a thing that means gas was stronger than him. That means frieza absolutely wiped out the strongest mortal ever in his base final form like it was nothing, he wasn't golden Frieza, he wasn't black frieza. If he can do that and still has 2 transformations than is he god of destruction powerful? I know they won't let him win or it even seems like he's leaning towards anti-hero lately but I would love to see frieza kill some of the good guys again. Make him an actual real undeniable threat to the hero's. Would love to see that. I doubt that it'll happen. The writing sucks now. They'll probably kill him off in the quickest and dumbest way.

Lost interest in C17 and 18 when, according to Goku, Bulma or Gohan (I forgot), explained that the twins were "modified on the cellular level", with (except for the bomb) no mention of any mechanical structures, which is vague af to me. Like I always knew they weren't androids but cyborgs but I expected the machinery inside of them to not just be a single bomb. In fact, wouldn't that make them more like Cell than Android 16?

No the more logical aspect it's because trunks was a baby the z fighters basically Vegeta beat 20 and 19 by himself they all rushed to Goku house and learns he died than 17 and 18 came out of no where and trunks grew up only knowing 17 and 18
