This is why voted a preference of historical accuracy over gameplay. I learnt all my history from playing Rome Total War. It saddens me that Total War: Rome 2 went the A-historical route by uniting Rome under Rome, and neglecting the late Bronze Age of hellenistic Egypt.
@rdg6654 жыл бұрын
I also find the neglectance of the army reforms which took place in the game time frame in real life a big turn off , Divide ey imperium fixed that tho , But just seeing all the units from turn A to Z all the same felt really sad
@hoonshiming994 жыл бұрын
So your telling me that Ancient Rome is split into 4 separate factions, the entirety of Gaul, Spain, Germany, and Britain etc. is a United country and Egypt still having Bronze Age equipment? Seriously Rome Total War is more A-historical than Rome 2.

@@MelkorGG There are proper fan made mods though with all the correct entities having the correct borders and names. The russian mod with all the russian principalities is outstanding. One thing you have to give them, they built in that likeable modding that allows people to correct their absurd blunders. "Alexander must act fast, for he knows the exact date he is going to do die" oh lord, I understand that's just a hilarious poke at the silly time window for the campaign, but if it were a story of fiction and, it'd be quite a tragedy. If anything, if he knew he was going to die, maybe that was the reason for his commitment to his campaign.

What always bothered me about this campaign was that Alexander starts with Sparta. Sparta of all settlements! The one city state Macedon never dominated nor conquered! It's fine if it's isn't in the campaign, or if the map shows that it's Macedonian, but to specifically say Sparta is Macedonian is ridiculous! I guess it was coming out around the time 300 came out but still.
