You were my favorite on season 2, Jose! All of the men and women on this show are good people, a natural result of being in harmony with nature, but your spirit really shines brightly. I think both you and Larry also deserve $500k. You are already abundant in love and spirit, but I hope someone with many millions sees the show and takes it upon themselves to gift you that financial abundance.

Good run Jose! Too bad you couldn't nail that salmon stream. You would have outlasted all of them. A small detail, but an important one.

Awesome job Jose - your humble temperament, and choices on the show serve as great examples to for many to follow! Of all the things you are - your perhaps best at being a role model that shows to know what’s really most important in life and always be respectful (I’m sure you know this). Glad you got to show your skills and I hope that all you and your family continue to do well.

Man I cried with you when you fell off your kayak and we’re forced to surrender. I had felt that type of pain and defeat before and it all came rushing back to me. I really wanted you to win. I wish you the very best in future endeavors Jose.

Jose, that is so wonderful God gifted you with a Foamie - right when you wanted it most. Awesome. I had something similar happen. Right when I wanted it most God sent me a pillow. Very emotional.

I watched the last episode today. I was in tears when I saw Jose fall into that river. So heartbreaking! Was rooting for Nicole or him to win in season 2! They both had the right attitude towards life.

Great run, buddy.... we were all impressed with your skill at building your kayak. Frankly, with your set up there in the Yukon I can see why you were so glad to get back home and it looks like everybody was glad to see you. It was a very special thing that you expressed about your perfectly harmonious partner.

Your the man, I was so inspired by your ability to adapt to that very harsh environment. When you took on that task of making a kayak, then you succeeded in catching a deep sea fish I knew you were the true survivor. I would love to spend time learning from you. God bless you my friend.

Lol, what are the odds? I have actually been to Mayo Yukon. My Dad moved there and was the government Mining Recorder for the region. I believe he lived there for over a decade. Maybe not, he moved to Whitehorse by 99 but he was there from 91 up to near that. I say what are the odds because the village might have over just 400 residents. Mosquitoes were horrendous when I visited in the summer. Oh, and it gets cold there. I believe my Dad told me once that a friend from back in Victoria called him and asked how it was on the coldest place on Earth, lol. It was that day supposedly, ugh. Nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there. Takes a certain breed of folk. Props to Jose, I am sure he made the Yukon proud.

Amazing how the universe provides - your foamie story, the outrigger float you needed. I needed a zip-tie once in while winter camping and found 3 in the snow while walking a snowmobile trail - that amazed me. Will you be doing courses on wilderness living and survival?

Your wife is so pretty :D You were one of my favorite competitors out there and it was very unfortunate about what happened that made you tap. But it is what it is. But coming home to your better half is more then money can ever give you.

Of course yes he was heartsick, lonely and hungry, but the fact that most if not all of his clothes were wet in freezing weather, sleeping basically outside, I think played the biggest role. He would have struggled for days to get food, with not much dry clothing or boots, and being fatigued already.

@SRV. 123 He would never do such a thing. He might be stubborn but he is totally able to say if he's homesick and if he needs to get back home, but he's also a warrior and will allways fight till the end, and he would never put on a show to have an excuse to be back without showing his feelings, so do not worry about that, be sure that he deserves that respect :) He's an honest man allways

I can relate to that relationship he has with his wife. When I'm away from mine it feels like I'm missing a couple of limbs! As much as I do enjoy being in the wilderness alone, I do mess her terribly and always really enjoy us getting back together. But that funy little doh at 3:30? Hilarious!

As a brazilian, I was kind of rooting for David from the begining. But Jose did the coolest things. At least, from what was shown on the show. When he came up to his canoe, I kind of predict the accident. Just as with Mary Kate. It was a danger action. And this kinds of things happens to me too. So many times I predict that I was prone to do some stupid thing and I just didn't stop. Crazy! Last month, I was carving a net needle and I knew I would cut myself if I kept doing the way I was doing. Result, I cut myself.

Patrick Germond he wasted too much time on that stupid kayak. He made for boring tv. Also, he only did the show to promote his business. Right after, his fees increased quite a bit.

Patrick Germond S4 was a waste. S3 was pretty good. S5 seems to have good characters (like Nicole & Larry from S2). It’s also in Mongolia. Different weather & predator issues. I think it will be good.

This cat had a nice attitude out there. But he caved to the "I miss the wife" syndrome. It's a cancer that seems to effect contestants without kids. When contestants have kids, they usually cave to that. Either way, I have little respect to those who cave in to these things. Where's the fortitude?
