I was in Oświecimiu "A German concentration camp" in Auschwitz (we stopped using the phrase "Nazi concentration camps" since the world media began to talk about them as "Polish concentration camps") I visited this place twice and it is a really memorable experience. I also visited the Majdanek camp, it was under renovation and I had access only to 4 barracks, it was the first camp I visited and because I didn't see much, so when I went to Oświęcim for the first time my blood was boiling. I was sad and angry at the same time and wanted revenge. I was much younger PS first this was a separate comment but was deleted then a replay for Adalbert Wirski. I hope this will stay here

I visited Sachsenhausen in 2004. As the “model camp” and the only camp Red Cross inspectors were allowed to visit, it was one of the least brutal, but still seeing the place brings up emotions that are hard to describe. It’s also striking how modern society has encroached on these sites. Even at Auschwitz, there are homes just a few meters from the camp fence.

The killing of civilians are unacceptable for any reason and my deepest condolences to the Jews. Do you also have videos about massacres of civilians in RAWAGEDE in 1947 where the victims are not only old men, but young boy then their homes were burned after execution every adult man who didn't want to tell the Dutch army is looking for an Indonesian fighter? I believe the Dutch government has the recordings because some of the narratives I have read have been shown in Australia. Thanks 😊

I covered Rawagede in several videos. As far as I know only men were killed there. Look up my video about Dutch War Crimes in Indonesia.

I see now that at least 2 (perhaps even 3) of my comments have already been deleted within this thread. That is exactly why I posted: This comment has been redacted (because there is no point in posting the comment I wanted to say. They will just delete it anyway. "this comment has been redacted" is atleast a trace of a comment that should have been allowed to be posted, but is or would be censored if it ever was spoken.

Germany hurt itself militarily by persecuting the jews and other people. By 1942, Germany was starting to run short of replacements for soldiers killed or crippled in battle. The tens of thousands of men used in persecution or as camp guards could have helped replace a lot of the combat losses.

I did make it Dachau around 2006. I must say it is more than 'quite a feeling' walking around knowing what happened to people there. Walking in the gas room was eerie. It was the standing in front of the ovens that it hit me as to how well planned things were for the extermination of people. I have wondered with the forces unleashed to allow for a cultured country like Germany to go the route of exterminating people ---- could something like this happen in the USA? There seems to be a strong strain of a loud minority looking to create a one-party state in the USA using scapegoats -- just as the Nazis did in Germany. I certainly hope that there are not future visits to future Dachau (s) after the deeds have been completed.

If we seriously try to conduct ourselves as God urges in the Bible, and also do our homework about candidates before we vote, it will be much harder for the tyrants to take the degree of control required to create anything as bad as Nazi Germany. Hitler was voted into power in 1933 by promising people material benefits and an end to riots between nazi thugs and communists. He was helped by the huge post-WW1 reparations imposed upon Germany hurting the German economy. We don’t have to pay reparations (although some vote buyers want it), but the payments on our national debt is hurting us.

Did the holocaust intensify when the Germans started to lose the war, or were plans for the final solution a foregone conclusion? Did Germany being on the back foot impact brutality shown toward hated minority groups? Another question. Mostly comes from apologists, but I often hear that deaths were so high as a result of German supply issues especially as a result of allied air raids. Lack of food, etc etc. Is that complete BS or is there some truth to supply line issues making things worse for prisoners in Nazi controlled Europe? Thank you.
@HistoryHustle3 жыл бұрын
Good questions: - yes it did intensify, - I wouldn't say it was a foregone conclusion, but opinions on this vary. The Endlösing was started in 1942, - I wouldn't say so, because most of the victims died of Zyklon-B. That also had to be delivered, so perhaps the Allied air raids saved lives.
