I was watching him start that engine and my first thought; OSHA would have a ball in that place if it was not a museum LOL. very good Tom, loved listening to his stories, thanks for taking us along. Have a good Memorial Day my friend.

OSHA was enacted for government to make money. It also enables lazy people to have excuses not to work

I absolutely love listening to the story's about the old days of the simple life.

Me, too. He had us all paying close attention to his stories. We spent a good two hours with Ron the day we visited the Laws Museum. It took us two days to get through the rest of the museum. Highly recommended and free, as well.

They are cool and I can see how you could become somewhat obsessed with them. Ron sure has a pile of them at the museum to tinker with. Thanks for the comment, Donny!

How loud would that place be if he started them all up ? Lol. Very cool place!

The engines are not as loud as I expected but all of them running at once would be a riot. Thanks for commenting.

Sooo the guys behind the fenced off door must be the "I wanna touch it" Folks?
@TomandJulieMineExploring6 жыл бұрын
It started off Ron was giving us(Julie and me) a kind of private behind the fence tour and no one else was around. A few people started showing up and he invited a couple more people in but not all of them. I was kind of wondering about the liability issue if someone got tangled up in a flywheel, but it was all cool. Thanks for the comment!

Looking at that shop, it occurs to me it was a bit hazardous to work around those engines, tools and belts. Dumb people didn't live too long. Maybe that explains why we have so many stupid people alive today?
@TomandJulieMineExploring4 жыл бұрын
You are correct. Those flywheels, belts and spinning shafts are all potential dangers. I'm not sure how old you are, but earlier in my life, I remember seeing more people missing fingers than I seem to see today. I agree that common sense doesn't seem as common as it once was. Thanks for the comment!
